I just ordered from here and the food went down the garbage disposal. The crab Rangoon was terrible, the rice had hard uncooked pieces, the Peking raviolis were like rubber, the batter in the chicken fingers had a terrible taste to it and hardly no chicken in them, and the boneless spare ribs were all fat! Such a disappointment and a waste of $ 50!!!

The new remodel looks great! Its good, basic Chinese food. If you end up here must try the Mai tai its strong and tastey!

Food price was okay and portions were good, online ordering was convenient, but the food didn’t seem to be the highest quality.

They’re under new management. at first I really enjoyed the food and it was very affordable. Ever since they renovated they’ve basically become an overpriced biker bar.

Ordered from here last night at work. Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. Waste of $ 10 plus tip for fried rice and crab rangoons. I don’t think they use a wonton wrap for the crab Rangoon because it was a thick, greasy, tough, chewy dough. There was no crab in it, only cream cheese. It was a cream cheese Rangoon. The fried rice was atrocious. I don’t know how to describe it but I took two bites and threw it out. All I have to say is WTF?! I will never waste my money on this again.

Worst chinese restaurant ever! We ordered food from here and the chicken was rancid, spoiled rotten. The rest of the food was disgusting. We all, including my young children, got sick. When we attempted to call the restaurant and make them aware of what happened, we were greeted with the RUDEST owner/manager ever. He could have cared less we got sick, he just was beligerent and unsympathetic. It was absurd, I have never ever dealt with a ruder human being in my life. Don’t ever ever order from this place would be my advice, they are filthy inside also, I would not even want to imagine what it looks like behind the scenes if its that gross where people can see.

The food was good but the service was okay. No one checked up on me to see how I was doing and the seats were ripped the comfort was okay. How ever the food is decent priced.

I used to frequent this chinese restaurant in 2008. Im not sure what happened but the food we got tonight was flat out disgusting. It’s been a long time since I’ve ordered and clearly things have changed. The spare ribs and beef teriyaki tasted like a cheap watered down marinade that was then heated over a portable stern. You know that odd flavor. The chicken teriyaki was dry and had absorbed the worst of that odd flavor. It was all very oily which could be the odd taste culprit? Either way, I was so sad because their food used to be amazing. I will not order again.

I love this place… Foodworks otherwise known as ‘The Mai Tai Lounge’. Their Chinese food is first rate and they have a lot of specialty dishes. They also have some very strong Mai Tais and are well known in the area for it. On Saturday night they have Karaōke also. good stuff.

Food works has the most delicious and fresh Chinese food around. The duck sauce is a great homeade recipe and their menu is a crowd pleaser. They even have a menu item that’s called«whatever you want» for those picky eaters like myself. The service is awesome and the bar has great drinks available. Since I discovered Food Works I do not eat Chinese food anywhere else because this is the best and i know they are fresh.

Portions on the combos are VERY generous; the pork fried rice practically overflows from the container. However, the food has usually been pretty greasy. If you live nearby(they don’t deliver), I recommend giving them a try; if it’s to your liking, you’ll appreciate the amount you get for your money.

Very average, nothing special. Take out, don’t eat in. Do yourself a favor and just go over to the Golden Wok on Grafton Street. A lot better.

This Foodworks left me lacking. While they still feature a wide selection, the combo plates, and pretty fast service like the other location, the food itself was pretty lackluster. First time here I ordered an orange chicken combo which contained orange chicken, pork fried rice, boneless ribs, and crab rangoon which I swapped for chicken wings. The rice came out almost half fried with a very strange flavor. The boneless ribs were good, but they gave me rangoon instead of wings, which I didn’t realize until I got home and got charged an extra buck to swap. The orange chicken was… flavorless. It was in a sweet-ish sauce, but the only thing orange about it was the huge amount of orange peel chunks strewn throughout, which didn’t add much orange but added plenty of bitter every time I bit down on one by mistake. Their lobster sauce is like soup, not like a thick gravy which is how I’ve always had it, and it tastes off. While they have passable General Gao’s and decent chicken wings and boneless ribs, the menu tends to be hit or miss. Their szechuan dishes are actually decent(the Kung Pao chicken, in particular), it’s the more complexly sauced dishes they seem to have trouble with. Portions are generous, however, and of late, the quality has at least been more consistent. It’s not the worst in the city, but it’s nothing to flip over either.
