Denny’s

We walked in and we’re told twice that they’ll be right with us. 10 minutes goes by and we’re still waiting to be seated while there is about 5 open booths we could very sitting in. Very bad service. Never going to this place agai. I recommend Dangelos across the street if you’re on a budget.

I hate going here but sadly it’s the only 24 hour place near us. I’ve had a slew of bad experiences here but I’ll describe just the most recent one from October. first we get there and we were the only people waiting. there were tons of open tables but nobody was seating us (which always happens). soon enough a line of other parties formed behind us and that got a hostess’s attention. we figured we would be seated first since we were first in line but instead she just picked a party at random. we didn’t say anything at first until it happened two more times. her reply when we told her we were here first and had been waiting was that she «didn’t care» and we would «have to wait». eventually we did get seated. last. so then we tried to order. I asked the waitress for something and she snapped at me saying «shut up. that’s not even on the menu» I politely told her it was and she still disagreed. so I showed her. she didn’t even apologize. she just sighed. in the end we decided not to order that because if they didn’t even know they had it there was no way they could make it well. we ordered 2 plain cheese quesadillas instead. it took, I kid you not, 2 WHOLE HOURS to get what we ordered. JUST CHEESE AND BREAD. then as we were leaving we went to use the restroom but were informed the bathrooms were «closed for the night»?? like you’re a 24 hour place. that doesn’t make sense. I hate it here.

…and again, this denny’s is a badly run place. get some capable managers!

Shittiest Denny’s ever. Smells funny. Flies everywhere. Three out of four of our orders were incorrect. No apology. Check was incorrect. This place is awful. Denny’s corporate should take a look and make some changes.

I went to Denny’s for the first time last night and it was pretty good. Our waitress megan was very friendly and got all our orders right. I also liked that the calorie count was on the menu. The only bad thing was that there was a cop there the whole time. It was kinda weird. Overall this place is pretty great

The food is incredible but seriously the service sucks man. The place needs to be renovated pretty bad and they need a staff change. There is a few wonderful waitresses there but getting to sit in their section is rare. Once again, the food is amazing but dear lord fix this place

No. I order 2 eggs, home fries, bacon and toast. I’m sitting at the counter. The waiter (?) Somehow puts this in as 4 separate orders, because he doesn’t realize this is a normal thing. When the bill comes, he feels compelled to show me how I could have saved a lot by ordering from the «make your own breakfast» section, instead of what I did, which he said was I ordered everything separately. Huh? W t f. The bill is 13.50, I hand him a 20, and he comes back from register and pulls a fast one, this is all set, thanks! And runs away. pockets the change. Dick. I’m mad I didn’t school him right there. But he can keep the 30 percent tip, because he’ll be unemployed soon. And you, weirdo guy sitting there staring, order something or get f out.

Hands down the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been in. Wet crap smeared in the bathrooms, floors have mold on them, counters stained. Staff polite but indifferent. Skip it and find a Friendly’s.

After an enjoyable night out at the bar with friends, we decided to grab some breakfast before heading home. As we normally do every time we go out, we stopped in for food. Out of the hundreds of times that we have come here, most times busier than last night, we’ve had excellent service. Last night, we were sat right away and put in our drink order. Two more tables were sat next to us, ordered and received their drinks and than ordered their food as well. We were still waiting for our drinks. After about a half hour, one of us got up and went to find out where our drinks were, and asked for the manager. As she got ignored by our waitress and the manager both turning around and walking away, the trainee (and the best one out of the three employees working) helped get our drinks to our table. How hard is it to make a few chocolate milks, coffee and water?! We than finally got to put in our order. I ordered another coffee that took 20 minutes to come, with no milk as I had previously ordered. As the two tables next to us got their foods and checks, we were still waiting for our food. Again, we got up to get the manager and to find out what was taking so long for our food, we have now been there for over an hour and a half waiting. Our waitress went straight over to the kitchen and asked for our food. The manager came over with our food and said that he would do something with the bill for us. The trainee came over and apologized and asked how the food was. The manager only took off the price of one meal for us. When we went up to pay, we complained some more and left no tip because of how horrible the service was. The manager than gave us some gift cards and told us to come back and he would make sure that our service would be better. We were also informed that our waitress went our for a smoke break while we were still waiting for the check. This was also when we were informed that our server wasn’t the trainee, and that the trainee was actually a lot better than the one training her.

Got here and we were basically ignored. The two ladies saw us and just acted like we weren’t there. After 10 mins I asked whether we would get seated or do we just seat ourselves where she rudely and responded that, «we are short staffed.»
Ok, fine you are short staffed, how about acknowledging customers who walked in and mention that at the get go and it may be awhile or someone will be with you. Heck, how about, «hello». We were informed 34 mins later that we could seated. I understand you’re short staffed, overworked and underpaid but a nasty attitude does not make me feel sorry for you or even care.
The lady that served us was very nice and professional and apologetic for the wait. Long story short, not returning there. Hadn’t been back in over 3 years and now I remember why.

I had not been to a Denny’s in about 10 years… and now I remember why. This place is bad. It has not been renovated ever… counter tops, booths, carpet… all were old.
As far as the food, they could not make me a fried egg sandwich! It could only have «scrambled» eggs. This is extremely odd for «America’s Diner» and leads me to believe that they serve pre-​made packaged food. Won’t be back for another 10 years…

We were left standing at the front door for almost five minutes before they decided to seat us. The waitress explained that there were only two of them working that night. Since there were only about four customers, I’m not sure why that would be a problem. But we decided to just leave and not wait to see how bad things could get if we stayed.

Eating at this Denny’s is like going to a movie that you know will be bad. There’s nothing else better to do so you go. The servers here (Lincoln St. Denny’s) are really nice, but the plates are greasy, the coffee is cold, there’re more fries than fish in the fish and chips, the avocados in the avocado salad are all slimy, and the radio is annoying. The servers here are nicer than other places though.

On the rare occasion that I find myself buying breakfast, more often than not it is at this Denny’s. My family and I have been coming here for about 15 years. It’s convenient and there is plenty of parking. It is not a fancy place by any means and it could use a makeover but the table and floors are clean.
Denny’s has an excellent variety of breakfast food — pretty much anything you feel like having is available — and tastes pretty good. This last visit I had the French Toast Slam. The eggs, which I got scrambled were average. The bacon was crispy and the French Toast was really tasty. My husband got one of the breakfast skillets and really enjoyed it. My daughter got the Healthy Slam and gobbled it right up. My son and mother also enjoyed their dishes. The portions are large. I could not finish my French Toast and my mother’s light, fluffy pancakes were virtually untouched only because of the large size of her meal. The prices are great. Most dishes are under $ 10. They have a good sized kid’s menu that offers pretty much anything a child could want.
The service is not lightning quick, but we’ve never had to wait a long time for anything either. We try to avoid peak times because there can be a long wait for a table. The service has always been super friendly and courteous. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and it is very, very kid-​friendly. They also serve lunch and dinner for great prices too, bit I’ve never fined at those times so I cannot review that part of the menu.
I only gave the restaurant 3 stars because it is a little run down and all though the good is good, it’s not mind blowing. It is good solid comfort breakfast food.
So, in summary, if you want a good breakfast with friendly service for not too much money, this place is probably for you.

I asked for a grand slammer and to substitute the sausage links for extra bacon strips and they didn’t. It was also suppose to come with hash browns .and it didn’t. I had it to go so I didn’t realize until after I had gotten home but this was definitely my worst experience out of the many times I’ve been here! I think it’s all the new staff they’ve recently hired. I now realize my server really wasn’t paying much attention.

OMG 2 steps inside the front door the whole place stunk like a Port a Potty had exploded…
Yet we still went in to sit down. BAD MISTAKE! We had went across the street to the Road House & they told us an hour wait & we had 2 hungry 3 year olds that probably wouldnt sit still for another hour.
So we sat (in the biggest booth in the world) clearly 25 people could have fit here we were 4… I had to slide into the booth for like 2 weeks to get to sit down.
Then the server comes, she was nice, clearly had kids & knew how to interact with kids it was great…
Then comes the bathroom trip & the clear reason as to why the place smelled as it did… HOLY JESUS… this bathroom hadnt been washed since 1962, I had to hold my kid above the toilet as he hovered, because I was not allowing any part of him to touch any part of the bathroom…
Food came, it was as expected, Its Dennys… We all got Breakfast — Good times… Then we had ice cream & were out the door…

This place is a joke. Absolute worst service and terrible attitudes. Took forever to put drinks in, and didn’t bother to put a simple order in. If I could give less than a star I would, never coming back here. This place is terrible and should be avoided.

If I could give this place negative stars I would… First time I’ve been to a Denny’s in three years and I immediately regretted my decision to come here. The service blows chunks… I would have been better off gnawing on my own arm. The waitress was completely incompetent. We sat down and she immediately took our drink order. After waiting a good 20 minutes the drinks never came so I walked over and asked her for them. She apologized and said she forgot and she’d be right over. Another 15 minutes went by and nothing… finally got a manager who brought our drinks out. Then we TRIED to order food. They were out of literally everything I wanted so I settled for some fries and my friend ordered some eggs. Some more time passes and the waitress brings out only my fries… she forgot to put in the order for the eggs. We literally ordered two of the most simple things ever and she still screwed it up. There really are no words to describe how completely terrible this restaurant is…

I’m not sure why I stopped here on a recent Tuesday morning. Oh yes, I was looking for something quick for breakfast on my way from Shrewsbury on up to Northborugh. Perhaps I should have just stopped at a fast food joint and gotten some nuked food.
The facility was not very busy yet service was spotty. Our waitress would be attentive for a bit and then seem to disappear.
I chose to create my own Slam Breakfast. While the food was plentiful, the taste was just OK. The potatoes seems to have only touched the grill for mere seconds.
On the plus side, the bathrooms were surprisingly very clean.

Yes this place is scaryville. Yes I think there were shootings here, but I can not resist their hashbrowns, so I strap on my bullet proof vest and head to Worcester for some hashbrown lovin.
I think I love Dennys because I worked there in high school, so it’s an odd mixture of nostalgia and grease.
P. S. the bathrooms are super clean… who would have thunk?
