Courtyard Worcester

One of the nicest Marriott rooms we have stayed in. Exceptionally well appointed and spacious. Just a quick overnigjt, but we were impressed by the friendly staff, expeditious check in and out, and convenient location.

Freezing cold shower — no hot water all morning. Terrible way to start the day. So angry. Otherwise, fan on bathroom is lawnmower loud, heating unit also loud. Room is also really dry — could use a humidifier. TV doesn’t have StayConnect app compatibility.

My partner and I stayed here during our most recent stay to Worchester. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located, the rooms are quite large, and the cost was next to nothing compared to what we would have paid elsewhere.
I look forward to staying here again when we come back!

Only one peeve with this particular location is that the bed was not made to usual Marriott standards… The top sheet was not tightly tucked in and the pillows were not neatly arranged like all of the other Marriotts I have been to.
Other than that the two young ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly and checking was fast and painless. They give you a parking tag that you have to go back out to your car to hang off the mirror.
Parking is very tight so I suggest you park well within the narrow lines and take photos of both cars parked on either side of you along with their license plates. That way should the swing their door open without regard for your car next to them, the paint chip on your door would match the vehicle you report. Don’t laugh… It happened to my friend and the police were able to get her restitution for damage done to her car.
I would stay here again…

My name is Shane Desautels and my reservation Confirmation was 89 524 811 We stayed on Thursday night June 25, 2015 at the court yard Marriott in Worcester. Unfortunately it was an absolutely horrible stay. We came in late Thursday night and were given the impression that the place had at least a small place to get something decent to eat. I ordered a hummus plate with vegetable and pitta. They gave me hummus with 3 pieces of carrots and two pieces of celery, it was so disappointing. The sink in our room was so poorly designed that the faucet was to close to the back of the sink and water would go all over the place when washing hands. The shower had no pressure. We got up early to work out. It was very important to have a hotel that had a workout room. All the treadmills were broken. What a horrible stay and they did not even bother to offer us a return of our money. I will never stay there again. What makes this worse is that I have stayed with friends at the Marriott in Boston which was wonderful so I thought this would be a great place to stay. It was just sad.

Great Property — Friendly staff! My room was clean and quiet not much more to ask for.

Nice room, it’s like a mini suite. Good price. Friendly staff. Security. Great lobby. ²⁴⁄₇ mini convenience store. Overall, not bad at all.

Decent Hotel Great Location
This a Courtyard so it is not Marriott’s top brand. During my visit they were doing construction in the lobby and it looked like it was coming out pretty well. New bar and lounge were almost complete.
The best part about most Marriott’s is that they always seem to keep a consistent appeal. The rooms are usually pretty currently decorated and usually very clean. This hotel hits all of those marks.
The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. I really have no complaints.
I would have bumped this another star in the ratings but it’s a Courtyard so I feel like it can only max out at a 3.
Lastly, if your staying in Worcester, you will not be able to beat the location. The hotel is within a mile or two of everything.

Very nice, no hottub pool is very small. Maybe the lobby needs some décor like flowers or something? Looked very cold. Nevertheless, a nice place.

We’ve had a great stay here. The bed isn’t great, but everything else is. I especially enjoyed the bfast crew, they were so friendly, like they were trained in customer service but it was such honest service It made my day.

Stayed here for a wedding. Beautiful rooms, and they kept the bar open till 2a.m. for the wedding guests. There was no complaint with breakfast either. Although they didn’t tell the bride they were planning on doing conctruction during everyones stay.

Really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were more modern than normal courtyard that I’ve been too. They also have a nice breakfast spread like a full service Marriott that I was not expecting. I will definitely be back to this hotel.

This review is based on my stay on May 21, 2013.
I was not sure what to expect of Worcester, a once-​big mill town west of Boston, but found the city in good shape and this Courtyard a great example of Worcester’s best. This is a «standard» Courtyard, not a converted older building, and is kept in nearly-​new condition. It’s right next to Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Life Sciences Building — if you are doing something at WPI, you can’t be much closer.
Staff here was both easy-​going friendly and intent on making sure I had everything I wanted and needed. My room and furnishings were all as they should be, very comfortable. Parking (free) was very close to the entrance (nice as it was a rainy time there). The new-​style lobby, with a happy bar area and some enthusiastic customers, looked pleasant, but I needed bigger food and headed out.
Wi-​fi internet and big flat panel TV worked perfectly.
At a well-​run, well-​kept, and well-​staffed Courtyard like this one, I wouldn’t say there are no surprises — but any surprises are pleasant ones. I hope I never give a Courtyard less than 4 stars, and I did not give 5 simply because there are some services they do not offer. Price was fair, if not a super-​bargain.
Courtyard worked well for my first night in the Eastern time zone this trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definitely stay here again next time. If this is your price range, you need have no fears — you will be comfortable here.

While the surrounding area can be a little shady, this Courtyard location was just fine for a recent business trip. Everyone who works there is super friendly and will go out of their way to help you. From the front desk to the courtesy shuttle service to the waitresses to the cleaning staff, everyone was very nice. Their room rates are also fair and very low and my room was clean and comfy.
Additional feedback:
— I had a beetle in my room for two days but as soon as I told the front desk about it, they came and got him while I was at work;
— The hotel is on a fairly busy street. I was woken by police sirens on two separate occasions and by a passing train on another (not good when adjusting from West coast time!);
— Loved the free cookies and candy;
— Not a biggie but they need to moderate their water temp a little better. The water was generally waaay too hot at varying stages of the knob;
— There was a water main break in the area and the hotel did a great job of calling everyone, slipping notification letters underneath doors and providing everyone with free bottles of water for a couple of days.
All around great customer service and a decent place to stay when in the area for business.

We had a very nice stay at the Worcester Marriott. We were in town to see a show, didn’t want the responsibility of driving back to Boston, so we found a good price through Expedia and booked here, splitting the cost of the room four ways.
There were several other show-​goers also staying at the hotel this weekend– and the staff was completely unfazed and prepared. They even had a shuttle leaving every 30 min to give complimentary rides to the arena, eliminating our need for a cab. Nice!
When we came back at 1am covered in glow paint, the front desk didn’t even bat an eye. In fact, they offered us extra toiletries to bring back up to our room to help get us clean. Perhaps not the place for a romantic weekend getaway (not because of the hotel which was pretty clean and well-​managed, but because of the city itself), but for a utilitarian place to crash? Excellent!

O.K. stay
Spent a night there a couple weeks ago.
Not in the best location. Kinda trashy surroundings. Clean rooms but appliances were not exactly up to date. Hair dryer smelled like burnt hair when used it.
Nice room in bathroom, but lighting was dim and not exactly welcoming.
Air conditioning kept the room at a comfortable rate, but slept terrible in the beds. Pillows were awful too.
Served its purpose, but not sure it was the best choice for the area, altho I know there are much worse hotels in town.

For $ 120 a night, I would expect a nicer staff and at least one that has their sh*t together.
I realize it’s Worcester, so maybe standards are a bit lower… but I got there around 2 PM on a Saturday before a wedding being held nearby. There was only one person at the front desk with a line of 3 or 4 people in front of me waiting to get their room keys. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying — knowing you have a full /​booked hotel on a saturday, you should accommodate that, staff-​wise.
Eventually we got our room, only to find the door propped open with a vacuum and the room in the process of being cleaned. The maid was nowhere to be found. I decide to call the front desk, and it rings and rings with no one answering! The surly maid comes back and demands to know what we’re doing — look lady, we just got handed a key to this room, don’t take it out on us. Luckily my friend was staying down the hall, so we retreated there to call the front desk 3 more times before they answered and switched our rooms. Not a huge deal, but it’s extremely frustrating when people do not do their jobs, or can’t get organized, and then are rude to you about it. also, brett had no towels in his room. come ON.
It also seemed like the cleaning cart was constantly in the hallway, and blocking doors of rooms that weren’t even being cleaned. common sense was not these employees strong point.
The location is convenient, but like almost every other Marriott and chain hotel out there, everything from the service to the décor is uninspired, generic, and boring.

The Courtyard is «ok» — rooms were clean, staff friendly and overall my stay was fine. The neighborhood is a little sketchy and I was glad that I had a travelling companion this trip so that I was not out in the parking lot alone after dinner.
The morning breakfast buffet is pricey at $ 10.50 — we’d picked the Courtyard over the Hampton Inn as it was $ 10 cheaper but by the time we paid for breakfast, we would have broken even. The buffet was little more than what you would get for «free» at the Hampton.

We recently housed about 15 guests at this hotel for a gathering in Worcester. By far it seemed rather decent compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were clean and most of the staff was rather accommodating. There was however one clerk who just seemed angry to be there– and to be bothered by any minor request. If you visit it is the fellow working 2^nd shifts (all the other clerks are female). The coffee is free in the lobby, and the parking is ample.
Overall, no complaints.
