This review is not for the dentists or the care they provide but the staff’s poor customer service. I recently relocated to Worcester from Houston for work and was told by my dentist in Houston when I went to get my teeth cleaned that there was a cavity. Since I was in the process of moving I thought to get the cavity taken care of once in Worcester. I tried to make an appointment with this dental office but the receptionist said that I would need a cleaning again from them first before even talking about treating my cavity. She then suggested scheduling me for a cleaning six months later and treating the cavity then, which is unreasonable. Bottom line, inflexible staff that doesn’t seem interested in helping or working with the specific needs of each customer. Hope this attitude is not representative of how the rest of the office operates.
I was not offered to be put on a cancellation list to come in sooner as the office claims, which wouldn’t even make sense if they did. Since insurance will cover cleanings only at least every 6 months and I just had one, they were only willing to wait until half a year later to see me since they insist on cleaning first. Thankfully have since found a more understanding and accommodating dentist in the area.

I have been here for several visits and have been very happy with the experience. The dentists and staff have been very helpful and the offices are nice and clean.

Eh. The hygienist and dentist both seemed okay. But on my way out during my first visit, an «office manager» called me into an office and said, «You’re missing lots of teeth. Have you considered getting those replaced?» So odd and upsale-​y. Dentist visits shouldn’t feel like a negotiation or sale – it’s a medical service. And what’s really ridiculous is that she didn’t know what she was talking about anyway; the teeth I’m missing were removed by a dentist on purpose to make space in my crowded mouth… there’s no room in there for replacements! Just strange and unprofessional.
Luckily I moved out of the area, so it’s on to better choices than Worcester has to offer.

I have had great experiences both times I have come here. Was looking for a local dentist. They are very straightforward about cost which was great for me! They don’t wait till the last minute to tell you what the work you are having done will cost.
The hygienists are super sweet and so is the dentist (I can’t remember her name!). I strongly recommend coming here!

So today I finally went to my appointment at 64 Highland Dental and as I thought they were awesome. I saw Angela the Hygienist and boy did my teeth come out clean! I have never had such a great cleaning before. The girls at the front desk were just as awesome as last time. I saw Dr. Darvish for my exam. He was very personable and very honest with me about my dental health. He did not pressure me into anything just stated what I needed to have done and which things I should start with first. I scheduled some fillings with him for the beginning of January after the holidays and I have never felt so comfortable going to the dentist!!!

I started going to 64 Highland Dental after a less-​than-​favorable experience at a different dentist in Shrewsbury. I have had a few dental problems this year and the staff here really eased my anxiety over the procedures I needed to have done. Last week I had a dental emergency and was in excruciating pain. Dr. Darvish saw me immediately to determine the cause of my pain. I set up a consultation appointment with Dr. Miller on friday morning; he offered to come in an hour before they opened to assess my problem. As soon as he saw the x-​ray he started the root canal on the spot because they didn’t want me to «have a bad weekend.» Dr. Miller was extremely professional and efficient, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating, kind, and friendly. I’m so glad I found this place!

I have been seeing Dr John L Miller for the last few months for a minor dental procedure. I had spent a great deal of time shopping around for the best fit. Looking for both value, coverage, and convenience, I was referred to Dr Miller by a close friend of mine who had given him a stellar recommendation and I cannot express how pleased I have been with the good doctor and his entire working staff. The receptionists are multi-​lingual, professional and very courteous. They also offer text reminders so you never have to fumble with schedules or appointment cards. I have never had to sit in the waiting room longer than a few minutes before being seen, even if I’m a little early. The technicians are very thorough and quite reassuring the entire step of the way. The ambiance of the place is truly remarkable, a beautiful color scheme and hard wood flooring with a brightly lit and sunny feel greets you as you walk into the lobby. The cheery and friendly atmosphere can be felt the entire way down the hall. Each exam room has its own flat panel television with, get this, attached headphones. So you or, more importantly, your little one can immerse themselves in their own world while Dr Miller and his team make everything better… how brilliant is that? The rooms are spotless and clean, the tools are all vacuum sealed and were prepared right when I sat down, neo-​design fixtures highlight the overall modern decorum. The good Doctor himself was very knowledgeable, personable, and easy to understand. On my consultation he walked me through every step of the procedure and even several options that I hadn’t even thought of, explaining as well all of the pros and cons which allowed me to make an informed decision which I am so thankful for looking back now. Now here’s the best part, while they accepted my dental insurance, they were able to offer me be a bundled package for my procedure that was all encompassing and even more affordable than even what the insurance company had estimated. I cannot express just how pleased I am with the work he and his entire staff have done for me. At the very least, I would highly recommend speaking with Dr Miller personally and see for yourself what makes this office so remarkably outstanding.

I’ve had good experiences with 64 Highland Dental since I started seeing them ~2 years ago. Easy scheduling, convenient, and no concerns with the service I have received. I have recommended them to family and friends.
