Mr. Renan Mazorra’s thoughts are derived from a vast reservoir of ideas that are always imparted in a manner which is morally sound, professionally responsible and warmly inclusive. He does not resort to complicated jargon which one does not understand but rather puts you at ease with his efficient solution focused philosophy buttressed by impeccable listening skills.
In today’s day and age, it is virtually impossible to find a competent professional who also comes across as being a good human being. For these reasons and all those virtues unbeknownst to me, he is a long term resource for all your tax preparation goals. It would be an understatement to say that I highly recommend him and his staff.

I have been using Mazorra Business Services to handle my taxes now for over 5 years. They are prefessional and knowledgeable. I would not hesitiate to recommend their services to everyone who needs tax help. You will leave their office more than satisfied, and I am confident that you will reccomend them to friends as well.
P. S. The only reasons there are waiting rooms is becuse there are people who are woth waiting for, and the price of getting it done right is worth the time spent waiting.

This place is amazing and I am sorry to be so late writing this review.
My husband and I got our taxes done one week before the deadline. This establishment does not make appointments, it is on a first come first served basis. Given when we were getting our taxes done we braced for a horrible wait. How surprised we were when our wait was only five minutes.
This is a father and son business. The son did our taxes. He was warm, friendly, thorough and professional. When he was done his father, the owner, came in to meet us and take a look over what his son did. The dad was also really warm and friendly and professional. All was done perfectly and we were sent to the office support staff to sign off, pay, etc. The staff was also really nice and friendly. I can’t get over how nice everyone was, what a great experience this was, how efficient, etc. It really was a wonderful experience and I never say that after getting my taxes done.
Do yourself a favor and check these guys our for your tax, accounting/​bookkeeping needs. You’ll be happy you did.

I went to Mazorra to get my taxes done and they did an excellent job. Very friendly and professional and even though I was a little put off initially by how many people were in line, I barely had to wait. They gave me some advice on how to get a bigger refund next year and I was in and out in no time. Definitely will have them do my taxes again next year!

Very thorough with preparing your taxes. They will try everything to get you the best refund. They are very knowledgeable of what can and cannot be written off. There is pretty much always a line but it’s well worth it.

I went in the week before taxes were due expecting horrendous lines, but was happily surprised to get help within 5 minutes of arriving. Service was quick, personable, and to the point, and the prices were very reasonable. They even gave me advice for next year. I will definitely be coming back.

Very busy place but I guess that means they’re good! I was looking for a last minute accountant to help me cut corners and maximize my refund and Gustavo at Mazorra hooked me up! They say in New York, if there is always a wait at the door, it must be great service. This is absolutely true at Mazorra Business Services. I had gone to a few other businesses to handle my personal income tax return filing and was quoted with incorrect information and astronomical processing/​services fees; even H&R Block! I walked into Mazorra and although there was a bit of a wait, it was well worth it! Renan, Mr. Mazorra, and his entire staff were 100% friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I am an actor, student, and waiter and needless to say, every year is a headache when filing tax returns. Mazorra Business was able to get me a great return credit and guess what? I only paid $ 100.00 to get my taxes filed by them! They made sure to counsel me on ideas to gain more money back and save money in the long-​term. I highly recommend Mazorra Business Services… they are simply family owned, good people, and a great business. Thanks Mazorra!

Father & Son family run business. I have done my taxes here the last four years in a row and will not go anywhere else. Turbo Tax and H&R is not even a question.

I usually rely on TurboTax to get my taxes done. I normally hate asking for help, and I always think I know everything (or that the internet will teach me everything I need to know)!
Cue this year, when I’m dealing with a move from MA to NY, multiple business deductions, and random tax questions that didn’t make any sense. I spent four hours using TurboTax and H&R block’s software with wildly different results (mainly me owing a buttload of money to NY and MA), and the results just didn’t look right!
A friend of mine suggested Mazorra and man am I glad he did!
I went in right when they opened (8:30 am, seven days a week during tax season), and was seen within minutes.
I gave over my file folder worth of info, and within 2 hours (my taxes this year were really complicated), I walked out having efiled my taxes and with a sizeable refund! Way more than what TurboTax was stating, and for the first time since doing my taxes (about 10 years now), I’m no longer deathly afraid of getting audited! That peace of mind is priceless, and I don’t know why I didn’t hire someone sooner!
I will definitely be back here next year! And owe my friend dinner for recommending this amazing service.
The rate was also significantly lower than quotes I’ve received from other accountants I had reached out to! $ 200 for my federal + 2 different state tax returns (I had been quoted $ 450-​$ 600 from other accountants for the complicated mess that were my taxes this year).
I’m loving it here! And the people I worked with (Mazorra and his son) were super friendly and nice.
