I thought I had written a review for this place wayy back in December but I guess I never got around to it. I got a ice cream cake for my brother’s birthday and had them print an image on top. The cake was good (vanilla and chocolate; classics) but the custom image on top left me a little disappointed.
This place always honors the free cone day each year so I always go if I can! Their soft serve is pretty darn good. Haven’t had a chance to try their other offerings yet. A few times a year they’ll have special flavors like with Nutella or Andes Mint or peppermint. Gotta stop by when those come out again.

I must come here on an off hour because when I do it’s always slow only a few customers not even a handful. Okay with me, don’t have to wait in line for my soft serve vanilla ice cream. Their prices are on the pricey end of my liking for a junior cup but I’ll pay it if my taste buds are in the need of a treat.

Perfect place to get a quick ice cream fix! Its never too busy and the attendants are very friendly. There choices could benefit a bit more but its fine. I always end up getting the butter pecan or salted caramel anyway. Prices are good…$ 3 for a big enough cup for urself.
Parking could be a bit of an issue so make sure u have someone in the car aka gf.

Free Cone Day 2015 here was absolutely horrendous. A sloth-like line run so incompetently just to get to the end for a vanilla-only option with $ 0.32 for sprinkles.

I came in here since I needed a last minute bday cake. I was glad to find parking very near and the place was empty on a cold Saturday night. The girl who was working there was helpful since I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I finally went with a medium size cake for $ 40 and it was delicious.

Eh this place is okay. It’s always crawling with kids ²⁴⁄₇ & its way too noisy to be able to have a conversation. On the other hand, their ice cream is delicious & their waffle cones are always freshly made.

I was craving icecream cake so badly so why not get it from the only place I really enjoy it from. This place is pretty old, workers are friendly ready to help right away. I didn’t want a whole icecream so they helped me decide on the small cups. Bottom line get your icecream cake here, you won’t regret it and the prices aren’t bad at all.

Probably the most run down looking Carvel I’ve seen in my life. From the outside street view you wouldn’t have even known it existed, given the obnoxiously outdated and faded logo on the store.
Stopped by for their annual free junior cone day 3−8pm. Was it worth standing in line behind a bunch of immature middle schoolers and questioning if this was our future for free soft serve? I’m not so sure.
If you live in the proximity of Woodside, you already know there are TONS of bakery options around to get cakes for any occasion. I’ve rarely seen ice cream cakes around, but this would be your go to place for them.

Came in here to do some ice cream cake shopping for my girlfriend’s birthday. They have a pretty good selection and a lot of the cakes are made fresh on site.
Bought a nice chocolate crumb ice cream cake and they personalize it for you. Can’t go wrong here.

I was in the area having dinner and walked past this Carvel, not having had a Carvel treat in some memorable time. Carvels are not nearly as abundant as say Starbucks. The chocolate shake was made to my request and could not have been made better. Took home a ice cream cake for my wife and son, I of course obliged myself to some and it was as I remembered from my youth of many decades ago. Thanks for the memories.

It’s kinda difficult to differentiate one Carvel from another when it comes to reviewing. I’m pretty sure that the recipe for the ice cream is basically standard across all Carvels. Also because the turnover for the counter people seems to be pretty high can’t really judge on that either. But one thing i have noticed, is the fact that their ice cream cakes are really top notch. What is it that makes it so great? well have you had a Carvel cake before? Chocolate icecream on the bottom and Vanilla Ice cream on top… separated by crunch… quite possibly the most delicious part of the cake. I have no idea why! well this carvel is not cheap about it. they give a generous amount of crunch in there. if you’ve had a Carvel cake you know that’s a good thing, a very good thing… and if you haven’t… well… you need to get your act together!

Pretty good ice cream cakes here. I only eat ice cream cakes from carvel because baskin robbins has always disappointed me. I hope this place never is like Baskin Robbins in the future. The décor is a little weird but then again its ice cream they are selling so the color scheme does go along well if you think about it

This Carvel is in a seedy part of the neighborhood on Roosevelt Ave. The soft ice cream lived up my memories of eating at Carvel when I was a kid. The décor is just weird. Bad color palate. This place does have a TV so you do have some entertainment if you come alone to get your sugar rush.

Skipped dessert at Donovan’s & headed half a block north to Carvel. This location is open till 10:30 on most nights & has a great selection frozen treats. There are a few tables and the decorations have a slightly nostalgic vibe (Ohai Fudgey the Whale). The soft serve here is unreal. Sweet, creamy perfection; it’s undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had. And how can often can you say that? A large is under five dollars and could easily be split by two people or by me during a 2 day time period.
