This pet sitting business was started becuase of the founder’s love for animals. She wanted her clients to feel at ease knowing their pets are in caring hands when they were either working late or away on vacation. The first thing I appreciated about working with Bonnie was how straightforward, organized, and professional the whole thing was. She is also very thorough — she has you fill out forms with all kinds of details about what your beloved pet needs and how you’d like her to care for them. This was reassuring to us, because we’ve had pet sitters where we’re never sure what it is exactly they’re doing (or NOT doing) when they come, and have no idea what kind of schedule they’re keeping with our cat, who. like most cats, has and feels best when on their familiar schedule.
The best part of working with Bonnie was the proof in the pudding when we got home — everything was clean and neat, she’d fed and given our cat her medication correctly, and most importantly, our cat seemed normal and at ease!!! (we’ve had pet sitters where when we get home our cat is seriously emotionally disturbed, and there’s cat litter and various other degrees of mess strewn around)

I used Bonnie a few times while I lived in Sunnyside and she was great!
The first time I called her it was a Friday afternoon and I was in desperate need of a walker for that weekend. She came over early the next morning to meet the pupster, get the key and the rundown. While I was gone she sent updates and even checked in with me to make sure I wasn’t delayed returning home.
I was able to trust Bonnie with my pup and am grateful to her!

I believe that Bonnie is better with dogs than she is with cats. The other rave reviews, on Unilocal plus a nice coupon convinced me to contact her. She was professional in our meeting, and so, I had her stop by and care for my cat when I was away for a week.
There might have been a misunderstanding with the care that I expected for my pet. Maybe the fault is partly mine for not explaining or assuming a certain level of care. I assumed that in hiring Bonnie’s services that my cat would be seen same at approximately the same time every day (there’s a spot on the customer’s forms that ask when you would like your pet to be seen) and that she would get adequate attention. My cat is extremely social and requires a lot of play/​pet time. Bonnie’s website promised an hour of play time. My cat also gets anxious when I’m away and needs some one to reassure her, and that promise was one of things that convinced me to hire Bonnie.
When I came home and found my cat extremely unhappy, her litter area a mess, and mold in her food bowl. I could tell that my cat hadn’t been cared for in the way that I had expected. She was extremely nervous and it took about a week to get her behavior back to normal. This was disappointing, considering that I have had undergrad students care for my cat better and for less money.
For those just going away for vacation/​trips and not having Bonnie serve as a daily walker, there’s an odd clause in her contract concerning keys. If you ask for her to return your keys on a day that she isn’t already working at your place, she charges you $ 15 for its return. I find this a bit strange as keys, even spare ones, are the customer’s property, not Bonnie’s. You shouldn’t have to pay $ 15 to have your own property returned to you.
Again, judging by the other reviews, I’m sure that Bonnie is great with dogs. After my experience, I’m not so certain about her work with cats.

Bonnie is an amazing pet-​friend and caregiver. To call her just a pet sitter would be an understatement. Her attention to our cat was above and beyond, including sending us updates while we were away on our honeymoon.
She watched Calley on many occasions and we couldn’t have been happier with Bonnie’s dedication and affection. She was even available last minute when we had some unexpected travel needs.
Bonnie is truly wonderful and we can’t recommend her enough.

I found Bonnie’s website 2 weeks before I was going to pick up Mika. As you can imagine, my mind was all over the place and I had to make sure everything was in place for her arrival. Bonnie was able to come over for the initial interview the day after I brought Mika home and they hit it off right away! Mika requires a lot of care and attention to detail since she’s an active puppy and very curious. My schedule requires me to be away from my home for 12+ hours a day and Bonnie has been able to accommodate by providing a daycare service in her own home. Bonnie provides updates throughout the day on how Mika is doing. I never have to worry when Mika is with Bonnie.
I’m so glad I found Bonnie — without her the care of a new puppy with a full schedule wouldn’t have been possible!
She also provides an in-​home visit if you aren’t dealing with a puppy and your dog only requires a walk/​play time. Once a week, Bonnie comes to my home midday and spends an hour with Mika.
Her service is an invaluable addition to the sparse options in the Sunnyside/​Woodside area.

Bonnie is truly a godsend! For several years now she has looked after my two cats (Fatty and Tiny) when I go away for the weekend or longer. She sends me text messages or calls me with updates on them as frequently as I would like (which is great because I worry!). She plays and cuddles with them (my biggest concern is they will get bored lol), gives them their wet/​dry food every day, and cleans up after them. She always checks with me to make sure I make it home the day I am intending to and offers to continue visiting the cats if I’m going to be delayed. She really puts my mind at ease. I can’t say enough about how great she is with the cats; they are always happy and healthy when I return!
One more thing: since her business (and her) is local she is always available, unlike other services that may not have a caretaker in your area or may book up on holiday weekends.
