Astoria Federal Savings & Loan Assn

I always think banking with a local bank is the best. Not only it convenience but will get a good service that you can not find in a big national brand bank. Until I banking with Astoria Bank in Woodside.
This is the worse experience in my life. Staff here are all out of order work and walk like zombie (really slow)
This is my experience with this bank.
I lost all my money around $ 800 in my checking cause they had been charged for ridiculous fees of returning mail. Every time they send something by mail such as monthly statement, safe deposit invoice etc. and mail get return. They will charge you $ 10 each mail. I talked to one Indian girl she said can not do anything. It is the bank policy. She told me she would talked to her manager and get back to me next week. A week later, I went to see her. She said did not have a chance to see manager yet. I came back couple weeks later. I thought she forgot again but this time she told me that it’s nothing she can do. IT IS A BANK POLICY.
What’s a great policy! I hope everyone be careful about this. I will never go there again as well as everyone I know too.
