Whole Foods Market Chagrin

Was really disappointed with this location. Not only did it seem cramped, but I could not enjoy shopping due to the overwhelming odor of fish from the seafood area. Now let me assure you I am not someone who is turned off by a small amount of seafood smell — I adore fresh seafood, but this smell was so strong and so overwhelming I gagged! It permeated my nose and carried so strongly from the back of the store that many of the dry good aisles were unbearable. We finally ended up just leaving. I think I will try another location.

OMG. Avoid the ‘Mealless Monday’ scam. Overcooked vegetables and lentils for $ 8 a small plate… Made a big mistake once I started to «fill» my plate. This is the worst Whole Foods I’ve been to.

This is a smaller store with very limited selection of groceries. The hot food bar, salad bar etc were also very limited.

It’s whole foods so it’s great for the produce and organic items. If you compare this location to others it doesn’t stand a chance. It’s way to small so options are limited and it takes forever to get out of there for something as little as veggie dogs (which there’s are great). Also there is no where to park most of the time and you end up driving around for 5 min.

This was an excellent find in NE Ohio. The produce is exceptional as I have come to expect at Whole Foods, and they have a terrific variety of prepared foods, bulk items and beverages. Staff is friendly and conscientious.
Downsides are smallish store, meaning fewer choices, and a busy and difficult parking lot.
They have Honeycrisp apples on sale now from (egads!) New York State. How will these east coast specimens compare to the outstanding examples from my home state of Washington? I’ll soon find out.

Just in time for college football $ 9.99 bucket of wings. Got the spicy sesame chicken and buffalo wings favor plus the Cajun dry rub. My wife got a salad from the salad bar full of her favorite fixings. Don’t forgot this whole foods let local farmers show of their food which is good to support the community. Whole foods is the SPOT

Great place! Friendly staff! The manager was too legit to quit! I’d come here again the next time I come to Cleveland! Can’t remember the managers name but he takes care of his customers! Had an issue with our credit card and he was quick and attentive to fix the issue. Can’t remember his name though. Sorry dude! But you are deeply appreciated!
Go here if you want a delicious sit down meal! Great products, and a diverse variety of items to match your everyday needs! Oh! And try that Yerba mate shot!

I gave this location five stars because the staff there are extra helpful and knowledgeable. One of the employees saw me aimlessly in the bottled water aisle, walked over to see if I needed help and went on to give me a fifteen minute tutorial on all the types of water, their plastic quality they come in and what each gives or doesn’t give to your body. I am so thankful for this knowledge. I ended up getting the +Essentia water and I can’t wait to drink it.

Incredible selection, but for an incredible price. I wonder how much they throw out a day to sell that perfect apple, or from the huge buffet in the back. Really nice place, but just too much.

This location is definitely not the nicest WF I’ve been too, but they have a good selection of produce and the store well organized. I always pick up their fresh peanut butter and veggie burgers. They also have an awesome prepared food section if you’re feeling too lazy to cook dinner. I think their natural beauty section is great and I regularly pick up make up and beauty products. I’m not deterred by the prices because I know I’m getting good quality and I usually only pick up a small amount of stuff here each week.

I would definitely shop here all the time… if I had the money. I love all the healthy organic varieties! There is so much to choose from that you just don’t see in a Heinens or Giant Eagle. This would be my one stop shop because they have just about everything. However, the price points are a little to high for my liking. On Friday’s this place is awesome. Live music, lots of food and wine samples. Highly recommended if you want to spend the money.

This was the worst Whole Foods prepared food section I’ve ever seen — this goes for selection and cleanliness.
To be fair, I did not come here to grocery shop, but to grab a quick and non-​fast food dinner on a marathon ten-​hour drive from New York to Columbus. So I kept the extra star on in case their grocery section is better taken care of.
The hot bar and salad bars were each small, but beyond that most of the dishes on the hot bar itself were empty. The salad bar was not much better, and each had food slopped all over and between containers.
I tried to cobble together a salad out of one of their quinoa dishes over spinach (having to sort through the spinach because there were some gnarly pieces), and set it down on the counter by the condiments to add some extra flavor. Unfortunately, nobody had wiped down the counter, so I set it in an oily goopy mess that seeped through the cardboard and into my spinach.
Needless to say, I did not eat the salad and will not be returning.
Edit: I was there on a Sunday night at 7:30PM, so I was doubly shocked there was no such little attention being paid at peak dinnertime.

Two for $ 20 pizza deal is the bomb! Two big 18″ pizzas with 4 toppings each baked fresh. You can’t beat this deal anywhere!
Eat slice there and take the remainder home. Give 30 minutes to bake it while you shop. Yum.

This place gets an award, but sadly not a good one. The worst whole foods I’ve ever visited.
1. Impossible parking
2. Run down shopping plaza
3. Small selection — food bars are minuscule compared to average
4. If you don’t come at a peak time, lots of entrees on the cold and hot bar are either run out or leftovers in a shape of running out that do not look like something you’d want to eat

Not the same!
I stopped going to Whole Foods about two years because I prefer small health food chains. When I went back recently the selection is way smaller and the prices are higher. Personally I miss when it was Wild Oats but since that’s gone forever this soulless corporation is all I have left if I’d like some hemp milk. I’d rather go to Giant Eagle! Oh and the bulk section shrunk to nothing.

I’ve been to many Whole Foods and I was disappointed that they didn’t have a barista, but other than that it was great. They had a great selection of produce and organics, just like every other Whole Foods I’ve been to!

When do you not enjoy WF?

Otherwise this place is a blast. So friendly, so full of fresh delicious everything you could ever want.

The deli/​salad counter people were AMAZING and there was such a fun selection of so many wonderful things! Loved it

I don’t often shop at WF, mostly because they aren’t very conveniently located for me. But I have been to both of the Cleveland area locations a few times, and to locations in other cities as well, so I’ve come to know what to expect. I made a special trip to this location last week because I was looking for some specific, out of the ordinary produce (but not too crazy — savoy cabbage) for a recipe. While they did have some unusual produce (fresh turmeric root!), they sadly had none of the things I was hoping to find. Still I can’t seem to avoid many impulse buys when I visit a WF, and this was no different. A variety of African inspired dishes on your hot foods bar, why yes I’d love to try those! (verdict: meh) They also had a much better selection of organic frozen vegetables than any of the Heinen’s or Giant Eagles I shop.
