I really need help with moving I needed professional’s that could get the job done at a low cost. I am happy to say that Moving with Grace arrived on time and finished a big job in a short time. I give them 5 stars and recommend them to everyone. Great job guys !

I don’t normally leave Unilocal reviews, but Justin and his team are not your typical moving crew! If you are looking for professional movers, it really doesn’t get better than Moving With Grace. They seamlessly helped us transition through one of the most stressful events in our lives – twice. They are fast, efficient, and genuinely hardworking people who take great care of your belongings and property. As you watch them move, you will wonder how it could look so easy, and bask in the humor that you once had the terrifying idea of attempting to do this by yourself with a couple of friends.
Not only are they great at residential moves (they moved my fiancé and I from 2 locations into a new home in Aug), but they helped us move large scale fragile items (assorted glass showcases and furniture) of business scale effortlessly. Excellent customer service and care! There is no one we wouldn’t recommend them to, and no one else we will use in the future.

These guys are fantastic!!! Courteous, professional and dependable. Can’t say enough nice things about them, don’t hesitate to use them!!! You won’t be disappointed.

From the first conversation with Justin I knew I was in good hands. Great experience from start to finish! The team was customer service focused, hard working, extremely efficient and an overall great Value! These guys are the best! Our move went so much better than we expected.

Scott and Chris were amazing! They are able to fit most of our stuff in the POD. They surely know how to maximize space without sacrificing the safety of the items being loaded. They arrived on the dot and though they work and paid by the hour they certainly did not waste any time loading almost everything up as quickly as they can. I will definitely hire them again unloading our stuff the next couple of weeks. Highly recommended!

I enthusiastically recommend Moving With Grace. Dustin, Leroy, Scott, and Eugene moved us and they worked together efficiently, with great sense of humor and genuine kindness. Everything reached the new house in perfect condition, in spite of the stormy weather. They’re truly good people with big hearts and the strength of super heroes. My husband’s back went out on moving day. Leroy said «no problem, take it easy, we’ll take good care of you!» And they really did. They went over and above.

Dustin & Gerald were great. They were meticulous, efficient, careful, respectful, & they worked fast! I used them in July as well with the same results. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

Leroy & Scott were absolutely amazing! I was helping my friends move and we had hired some lousy guys to load the truck. After their 2hrs were up, we called Moving with Grace and they immediately drove 2hrs to come to our rescue … awesome customer service, hard workers, personable, careful & exceptional moving habits … I would not hesitate to refer them to everyone! August 2015. These guys are true professionals! I contemplated using friends and family for my recent move, but decided not to treat them like hired hands and subject them to back-​breaking work after a friend recommended I check out
. That is where I found Moving With Grace. I did some extensive research and verified my list of potential candidates through Unilocal.That research resulted in Grace being the clear winner.
Leroy and Johnny are the dynamic duo of movers. They show up on time, work like maniacs, and treat your stuff as if it was their own. I have a typical 2-​story 3 bedroom California home, but my furnishing are big, heavy and bulky. This includes a beast of a treadmill upstairs. and it was a triple digit day!
My objecting in hiring these guys was to have them handle all the big stuff, while I handled all the stuff that goes in normal size boxes. Anyway, they maxed out a 30′ trailer in about 4 hours. Absolutely not one scratch on the walls or one dent in any furnishings. I have Venetian plaster walls and was terrified they’d be damaged moving down the stairs. Flawless execution. The download at the new house went just as well.
I would not hesitate to use Grace again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing professional assistance moving. Keep in mind, you must provide the basics: a truck, blankets, shrink wrap, tape, and any other specialized packing needs. They are really good about communicating before the move. They’ll review any special needs and tell you what’s needed for a successful move.
Take my advice, don’t burden your friends with moving your crap. Just hire these guys. It is money well spent.

I would HIGHLY recommend this company for help loading or unloading. Our two movers showed up early and worked hard for two hours straight with no breaks to unload our Uhual and trailers. They were friendly and professional. We had some challenging pieces too, they had to carry our adjustable queen bed frame and elliptical up our winding staircase and did so fairly easily and with no complaints. Awesome movers and so so much cheaper than any other quote that we got.

Amazing people at this company. They moved me into my 3^rd floor Oakland apartment with a smile on their faces the entire time. Pleasant to deal with, very reasonably priced, and did an excellent job. Highly recommended! They also can pack /​unpack your items although I only used them to unload a truck container.

It was 105 degrees and my husband’s back was out, but Scott and Kris were AWESOME!
My husband — literally fresh from the Midwest — kept exclaiming, «Wow, you guys are energetic!» They certainly had a special pep in their step and were super positive despite the heat advisory warnings, the less-​than-​direct path to our unit, my endless boxes of books and our malfunctioning AC.
Bonus points also for being last minute and flexible. We had hired a freight company to move our stuff, and they gave us a 5 day delivery window. At first, we were told Monday — and when I called 2 days prior, Justin said it was fine. When it changed it to Wednesday, Justin was just as accommodating.
I’ve hired 3 or 4 other movers before — these guys were the best! They are reasonably priced, and the ones I’ll call again.

Moving With Grace is such a perfect name for this company. In the most stressful of life tasks– moving– they took the burden, physically and emotionally, off our shoulders in a genuinely kind, professional and speedy way. We have worked with Leroy, Eugene, Justin and their crews three times with various members of our family and recommended them to our friends. We are happy in our new home– we recommend them unquestionably.

If we could double the 5 star rating we would in a heart beat! Justin’s crew of 3 loaded our 26′ U-​Haul in record time, and got more of our things in there than we thought possible.
We were beyond blessed to have Moving with Grace take the burden of loading the truck off of our shoulders.
The movers handled our possessions as if it was there own. All three of the men were kind, respectful and courteous. We cannot thank all of them for their hard work, and Justin for the peace he gave me, and the stress relief!

Just got done with a move with Moving With Grace. They were fantastic! Dustin and Gerard were our movers and they were fast, careful, conscientious and nice. It was a pleasure working with them. We made their job harder because we didn’t get a big enough truck or enough moving pads but they worked with it and did the best they could. I would highly recommend them and we will be using them again.

What an amazing experience. Two guys moved heavy furniture from upstairs into a van. not the slightest concern for dents or scratches. we got the van to where we were going (100 miles away) and they were going to meet us there. they got delayed by a car accident. they stayed in contact with us and even tried to find a competitor that could help out. they were persistent and were able to get to us with minor delay. they moved our stuff in, again without any worry for our belongings. nice, friendly, responsible. no plans to move again, but if we did, no hesitation in calling them. If you are on Unilocal thinking to yourself, «should I hire movers?”– the answer is yes, yes and yes.
Scott and David were an enthusiastic, friendly crew. They came on short notice, arrived early, did the job carefully and with joy, and finished within 2 hours– door to door. They maneuvered some very heavy stuff up flights of stairs with grace, and they were honest guys who really wanted us to get the most help for our money.
I will definitely be hiring this crew next time we move. Do yourself a favor and get some help from professionals, even if you think you have the muscle to heft things around. These guys are experts at efficiently loading and packing – get some help and make this stressful time a whole lot easier.

Scott and David were GODSENDS. I’ve never met people more genuinely enthusiastic about pretty much one of the worst tasks in life. They moved the contents of our fairly large one-​bedroom apartment from Berkeley to Oakland in about two hours. Our truck wasn’t large enough for everything (our fault), but Scott helped us through decisions about what to leave (light items) so that we got the best value from their services (moving all the painful, heavy items).
We have a huge pull-​out couch that weighs approximately the same as a Volkswagen Bug, AND the entry to our new place was narrow and made a turn – a «switchback,» as Scott called it. I’m convinced that if anyone else had been moving it, we’d either have dents in our stairway walls or we would no longer have a couch. These two took their time and moved the piece cautiously and gracefully. In fact, I think Scott takes a lot of joy from the challenge of calculating how to get huge pieces of awkward furniture through small, awkward spaces.
That’s right, these guy do their work with joy. They could have done exactly the same job with the gruffness you might expect from movers, but they were cheerful and helpful – not to mention consummately professional – the entire time.
They made a stressful day smooth and as pleasant as moving can get.

Called up several movers in Sacramento and Bayarea since we were moving from Roseville to the eastbay. I ended up calling Moving with Grace after booking my Uhaul truck. I spoke with the owner and he politely provided detailed instructions and also what to expect. I was sold on the concept of renting the truck from Uhaul and having them help with loading/​unloading.
The day of the move went really smooth. Scott and Felix got to our place 20mins early before we started loading. These guys were pros. They were able to transport our valuables with lots of care and in a timely manner. I went over the quoted move time but it was our fault entirely for having lots of loose items. Guys were friendly and very honest.
I will definitely use this company again.

Over my career I have had to move many times: cross country, intercity and local. I dread calling movers because it’s usually a stressful, unpleasant and expensive experience.
So I was leery when someone recommended Justin Dote and his «Moving with Grace» crew when we downsized to a smaller house.
Was I ever pleasantly surprised! On time, courteous, incredibly hard working and fast. They treated my things as if they were their own family heirlooms. Not one dish was broken or chipped. Not one item lost or damaged. They automatically set up the furniture and appliances without me asking. They made sure that I was completely happy with everything they did. They were terrific and made moving not at all stressful. It’s a local family company and they treated us like their family.
We called on them again when we moved in 2014 and again this last weekend (3÷21÷15) (we are living in rentals while we are building a home outside town.) When we finally finish our new house I will call them again to move us in.
So to Justin, Leroy, Eugene and all your crew: thank you for another great experience!
