Phyllis Kids Hair

As a busy homeschooling mom of 8 YO twins, Miss Phyllis has been the best find. She is great with kids. She’s been cutting my kids hair now for almost 4 years. She started when they were at the difficult stage — restless and unpredictable. Her experience made her prepared for it all. There’s a reason why you take your kids to a pediatrician — because they work with kids and know kids. Getting their haircut is only different in the fact that it’s not lifesaving. But there’s a reason why you want to take them to a stylist who specializes in cutting kids hair — they know how to handle them.

Phyllis is more than a kids hair stylist. We started with our kids when they were small. Now my daughter plans her hair cuts during college breaks and visits home. The whole family comes to Phyllis who does a great job on men and women as well as kids. She does color as well. Beyond patient, she listens and gives you the style you want. We are always happy (for more than 10 years).

I just took my twin three year old girls there today and she did great! The girls loved her, she had plenty of toys to keep one entertained while the other was in the chair and their haircuts are just perfect. I would definitely recommend!

Phyllis is the most patient best kids haircutter anywhere she does my neighbors children and many people I refer to her I have no kids but I know the great work she does cause I sent her my friends nephew who doesn’t sit still he loves going and his hair is terrific my friend Stacey could not deal with his hair and a cheap haircut or a chain was not a option when you make a apptswith Phyllis’s she is always on time and she is very busy and doesn’t make 2 appts same time like most hairdressers. we all love her work and her super professional friendly demeanor she is accommodating cause she makes her appts her self so no receptionist you won’t be dealing with corporate chaos a

I took my 3 yr old daughter for a trim, she has wavy hair. I was completely satisfied w/​the way Phyllis handled/​trimmed my daughter’s hair… she layered it & revived her hair!!! Phyllis made sure my daughter was comfortable & provided toys/movie…thank you. I myself have curly hair & only a skilled person needs to cut curly and/​or wavy hair. I highly recommend Phyllis & I’m soooo happy I finally someone for my daughter! She also cuts hair for adults, which I definitely plan on going to her for my next haircut.

Phyllis is one of a kind. She has been cutting my son and daughter’s hair for the last 10 years. She is always on time, sweet, patient, professional and consistent. She really listens and is honest if a style will work or not with a certain hair type. She is great with little kids, teenagers and adults. I can’t recommend her enough!

I have to start out by saying that Phyllis is the most lovely and talented kids hair dresser around! My 3 kids have been going to Phyllis since my oldest child’s second hair cut (he’s 11!) and I won’t trust anyone else. With 2 boys and a girl, we are always stopped by others asking who cuts the kids hair and the answer is always Phyllis in the back of Trinity. Everyone I have referred to Phyllis have been thrilled and they all continue to go to her.
First of all, Phyllis is lovely. There is no drama, she is always on time and she is flexible. With 3 kids and a ton to do, these are all huge factors.
Secondly, there is a special art to cutting kids hair. They move around, squirm, and talk, etc. None of this ever phases Phyllis, she just keeps going and somehow manages to get everything even and clean and totally cool looking! My kids won’t let anyone else touch their hair and it will stay that way through college and beyond.
I drive a bit far from my home and I would be willing to drive even further — it is beyond worth it!

My kids and I have been coming to Phyllis to get our hair done for almost 20 years, because she’s the best! She’s done buzz cuts, boys with long hair, girls with short hair, curly, straight-​you name it! Even styling for everyone’s bar mitzvahs, proms and graduations! Always friendly and always good:) unfortunately I can’t give her 6 stars bc Unilocal won’t let me!
