Om Organic Massage & Wellness was created by Kat Damiano out of a heart-​felt desire to provide personalized, emotionally supportive massage therapy for women — before, during and after pregnancy. Kat offers personalized 60, 75 and 90 minute sessions in her comfortable massage studio. She works closely with other local childbirth specialists and can offer referrals for birthing centers, doulas, lactation educators, childbirth educators, prenatal yoga classes, recommended reading and more.

Kat Damiano is an award winning prenatal/​postnatal and rehabilitative massage therapist, massage instructor and certified yoga instructor. Kat offers over a decade of experience in prenatal, postnatal and deep tissue massage, prenatal yoga and massage instruction for new parents, doulas and CAMTC massage therapists.

Kat is a strong advocate for choosing to live a conscious, mindful existence, allowing the blossoming of health, vitality and happiness. Originally from New Zealand, Kat has made California her home since 1998. She is mom to a 9 year old daughter.

Kat was absolutely amazing and made me feel comfortable right away. I am 35 weeks pregnant and had a 90 minute prenatal massage. It was amazing and went by SO fast! She used the perfect amount of pressure in a lot of my problem areas (shoulder especially). I still feel like I’m floating on clouds. I think baby girl enjoyed the massage too highly recommend her and hope to go at least once more before my due date!

This was an excellent pre-​natal massage. I would highly recommend it for any pregnant woman. I was very far along in my pregnancy so I had many spots of discomfort. All were addressed and made to feel much better :). She clearly knows what she’s doing and has an excellent understanding of the anatomy of a pregnant woman. I will be returning when pregnant with my next child!

Kat is incredible. I saw her during a particularly delicate post-​partum/​trying to conceive period after suffering a tragic pregnancy loss. She not only is talented as a massage therapist, the energy and love that she puts into her massages truly makes her a whole body energy worker. After trying to get pregnant again for several months, I conceived the same week that I saw Kat — perhaps it was my time, but I strongly believe that she readied my body to take on another pregnancy. I will be seeing Kat throughout this pregnancy to ensure my mind and body are both relaxed and at peace — something that’s not easy to find while pregnant! Also, her space is so warm and relaxing that it is more difficult than usual to get off the table — and I imagine it will only get harder! Thank you, Kat. Thank you, thank you.

Kat has an incredible healing touch! Due to my neck and back pain from a desk job, I have been getting regular massages for the past 10 years. I just recently began seeing Kat, and was amazed by her knowledge of the body, intuition as to pressure, and her beautiful energy throughout. I not only felt relief from the pain, but I felt completely nurtured, I was floating on clouds when I left… I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I had massages with Kat during pregnancy and after I gave birth. She’s an amazing healer with a powerful and nurturing touch and a big big heart. I can’t express how happy I was to see her after the baby was born. She came to our home and during my much needed massage, our newborn baby started crying. I almost started crying as I thought, «there goes my massage.» Kat suggested I nurse him while she continued. It was the best of both worlds, taking care of my baby while I was being taken care of. Kat is also generous with advice and resources. During my pregnancy, she showed me exercises that I could do to alleviate my sore muscles. Once the baby was born, she showed us massages for the baby to help soothe him and relieve gas. I highly recommend her!

Kat is an amazing massage therapist — she KNOWS anatomy, was very attuned to my needs, checked in with me on pressure (which I appreciate because I always feel bad asking for what I want in a massage), and just being in her presence will relax you!
I am in front of a computer all the time would go to those cheap massage places because my neck would be killing me– but never have I felt relief like after a massage with Kat. I will be going back for sure!

Kat’s massages are so wonderful. I have had the pleasure of 2 now, one while I was pregnant and one this weekend after 9 months of carrying a baby around on one hip! She is amazing. She knows how to manipulate your mussels to relax and release any tight spots. She is calm and intuitive but also has the strength to really work your knots. She is great at gravitating to problem spots and really working them. I know Kat personally and I feel that knowing she has a sweet, beautiful, fun nature puts me at ease when she is working her healing magic. Knowing that I’m in the hands of such a lovely spirit makes me fell so comfortable and happy to let go and completely enjoy the massage. I would recommend her to EVERYONE!!!

Her body work is fantastic — she is super intuitive, very gentle but firm and gets right into the problem areas for a quick resolve, and she brings with her such good energy. I had hip surgery awhile back and needed to have some therapeutic massage to get rid of some pain. Kat is very gentle and able to work out muscle releases around the hip. I would recommend her again in a heartbeat to anyone who is dealing with some chronic pains from surgeries or injuries. Thanks Kat!

Kat has a powerful and healing touch. She has incredible knowledge and insight about pre/​postnatal issues, trauma, and the body in general. I really apreciate how she is able to incorporate her training as a yoga teacher into her extensive massage training. I had the most lovely, relaxing and intuitive massage with Kat. She has such a calming presence. I was preparing for the NYC marathon and really needed to work out some aches. And while I had booked a 60 minute massage, I ended up extending it to 90 minutes (during the massage!) because it was SO good. I highly recommend her!

She helped me recoup a major injury and has given me great tips for keeping my body inline with all the travelling I do for work. I had my very first prenatal massage with Kat when I was about 5 months pregnant. She rescued me! I have had a difficult pregnancy, ongoing nausea and lots of body aches and pains. Kat brought me relief, and left me feeling relaxed and calm. I loved the option of a gentle belly massage which felt wonderful. She also gave suggestions on things I could do on my own to soothe my aching body. I hope to see Kat one more time before this baby is born.

Her spirit, energy and knowledge were inviting and I was relieved of so much tension and congestion. I am so happy I found Kat on Unilocal!I am currently 6 months pregnant with my first child and have been experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety that comes with being pregnant. Kat instantly put my mind at ease when I met her and was patient with all my questions. I wanted to find a prenatal masseuse who was experienced, responsive, and could work with my body and Kat is just that! I personally like gentle/​medium pressure but some people just don’t seem to listen to you. Kat is super attentive and always checks in to make sure you’re OK. Best of all, I leave feeling SOOOO relaxed and I know the baby feels relaxed too :) If only an hour wouldn’t go by so quick… it’s like an hour of BLISS and I feel like I’m walking on clouds afterwards.
There is street parking and lot parking, which makes this even more appealing. No need to fight crowds or worry about putting money in your meter.

I had a massage with Kat during my sixth month of pregnancy. It was a wonderful experience. Kat is professional and knowledgable, and she conveys a deep sense of caring and passion for her work. She knew right away where my tension needed to be relieved, without overdoing it, and she educated me about what is going on with my muscles during pregnancy, plus gave me some tips that will help me do some self-​massage and have good posture.
I am also a doula in addition to being pregnant, and I highly recommend Kat’s services for any pregnant woman.

I am a frequent massage-​getter because I have chronic neck and upper back pain and headaches. I’ve tried many therapists and without a doubt Kat is the best that I’ve ever experienced. She’s excellent at deep tissue work. Not only is she very skilled with her hands and her technique but she has such a calm and kind spirit that you can feel. Her energy is so amazing that you really feel comfortable with her. When I was pregnant with my second daughter, the prenatal massages I had with her were incredible. I felt very supported and relaxed and she really knew how to ease the pain in my low back and aching hips! I feel like yoga and the massages are what helped me to have a quick 1 ½ hr long natural birth with my daughter. I definitely recommend Kat!
