History

Established in 1960.

In 1960 a little shop popped up on the corner of Victory and Platt with a gas station and a bar and immediately became part of the community. The owner, Leon Gruner and his shop were immediately accepted by the locals. With his son Mike by his side they were able to make the transition from a neighborhood market to full blown Wine and Spirits shop with a neighborhood feel. In 1995 our neighborhood shop was bursting at the seams and a difficult decision had to be made. We left our home on the Northwest corner of Victory and Platt. We said our goodbyes and started over in our new home on the Southwest corner of Victory and Platt. A 10,000 sq ft brick and mortar store featuring an extensive selection of the best wine, spirits and beers from all over the world. Wine and spirits is our business, but more importantly it is our passion. Over the years the Gruners have established long relationships with many wineries resulting in generous allocations and the inside track on new releases.
