This local distillery is amazing.
The building that houses the casks of godly liquid has the appearance of a new-​age, modern, yet farm-​like barn! Think wood paneling with black metal.
There is a grain silo just outside by the parking lot, large bay windows that allow gazers to view casks and machinery, and very friendly staff that are willing to help you experience the product.
The experience (now, this doesn’t even include the tour done at 1p and 3p) was great! For $ 10 you get a taster of three whiskeys, one vodka, and one whiskey-​barrel aged maple syrup. YUM.
Not only did you just get tipsy for $ 10 but that amount will apply to any bottle purchase made at the distillery! AMAZING if you are planning on getting a bottle there anyway.
I would definitely come check this place out and enjoy the amazing location (right next to two wineries and one restaurant/​tavern that carries their liquor).

Beautiful new (er) location. They do weekend tours at 1pm & 3pm — wish we had the opportunity to tour b/​c the facility looks gorgeous. It’s also next door to the Hollywood Tavern which had an outdoor firepit going (a nice treat in cold weather).
$ 10 to sample 4 kinds (2 oz total) plus a sample of their maple syrup. The $ 10 goes towards any liquor you decide to purchase (for example, we got the $ 30 vodka for $ 20 after the tasting). Their vodka has caramel notes (very interesting) and their American Whiskey is delicious!
Be ready to wait for a sampler on a Saturday. it was very busy when we went and (when things finally quieted down) I think the staff took a moment to take a breath which gave us some space to enjoy our drinks leisurely but we felt like we had to ask all our questions at once when we finally saw someone.
I highly recommend this place on a Woodinville trip.

Great experience this afternoon at Woodinville! The tasting includes 3 whiskies, a vodka, and the bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. You get $ 10 off one bottle for every tasting purchased. There is also a 30% military discount — wow!
My husband’s favorite whiskey was the rye. It was sweet and smoky. My favorite thing was, possibly, the vodka! They just did such a great job of making a vodka that is flavorful and would actually taste good on the rocks. With the $ 10 credit after a tasting, you can walk away with a bottle for $ 19. That’s way cheaper that what you can buy it for at Trader Joes!
They have an incredible smelling candle that I purchased to take home with me. The workers are knowledgable and friendly. There is a cute looking bar next door, as well, with a fire pit, and it’s right around the corner from Red Hook Brewery and Columbia Winery. I could definitely see spending a whole afternoon in this cute area, throwing a few back!

I’m not a huge whiskey drinker, but I had a good time doing the whiskey tasting at Woodinville. To be fair, it was the first time I had done a whiskey tasting, and I thought it was an interesting experience. I got to try the rye, the bourbon, and Woodinville’s American blend whiskey. I also tried their barrel-​aged maple syrup and their vodka. While I don’t think any of their products were the finest that I have ever tasted (Whiskey, vodka, or syrup), it was a fun time.
The building is very beautiful, and you can have a pretty good time sipping whiskey and enjoying the premises.

I am no whiskey drinker, save for a shot of Jameson from a friend or, when I’m sick, a hot toddy.
But their $ 5 tasting can’t be beat. I mean, talk about a deal!
You get four or five fairly large tastes for five bucks, and you will leave with quite a buzz! If you’re in Woodinville to get your drink on, this is a great first stop to get the party started.

On the edge of Woodinville wine country go for something different. The Woodinville Whiskey Co. is about 5 years old and is now able to release their first properly aged product. A tasting is $ 10 and well worth it (I split it with another person in my party). The pours are about 2oz each (you get 4) and the cost of the tasting comes off the price of bottle if you’re so inclined to make a purchase. Tours are not every day so make sure to check out the schedule on that. The environment in the tasting room is warm and inviting. Items to purchase include a wonderful whiskey maple syrup, which is pricey at $ 20 but such a wonderful treat.

I’m a rye guy normally, but at Woodinville Whiskey Company, the bourbon is better. They offer a full tasting and tours at this location. I didn’t take the tour, but did do the sampling. The star of show for me was the Peabody Jones vodka. After my first sip I imagined it in my thermos, mixed with hot cocoa on the slopes this winter. The flavor profile, subtle notes of (almost) butterscotch will match perfectly with hot cocoa or cider. Grab a bottle, mix it up, cuddle up in front of the fire at the cabin, enjoy and repeat.

We loved the 100% Rye Whiskey and the Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The tasting room is simple, yet classic with a view of the distillery.
Sad to find out that we couldn’t ship anything home though — seems like that is a law that should be changed.

Glad we tried it, even with the kids. My husband and I shared a tasting and we kept the kids outside on the adjacent patio. The place wasn’t crowded at the time luckily so the tasting didn’t take long. Excellent whiskey although I’ve had many I liked just as much or better. I was impressed that they distilled the whiskey on site. There are many «artisan» brands that purchase whiskeys made from a big distillery (nothing wrong with that if the whiskey is good and it can be a specific recipe made for a certain brand, but it is a little deceiving).
Our favorite tasting here was not the whiskey, but the vodka. Yes, you heard me. Vodka. I had no idea vodka could have any flavor on its own (well until we tried Vitis down the street a month ago, but that is grape vodka). This vodka is made from wheat I believe but it has a beautiful butterscotch flavor. Even better than the grape vodka from Vitis.
We bought two bottles (as gifts people!).

Kelley and the entire staff made my wedding day a dream come true! The venue was beautiful, all details were covered, including our ceremonial shots! We’ve gotten so many compliments on the décor, the ambiance, the food and the drinks. Thank you, Woodinville Whiskey Co. for my wonderful day!

Great place for whiskey tasting. Parking was easy, right out in front. There weren’t that many people here during the weekend, which I found surprising. The tasting consisted of Bourbon, rye whiskey, vodka, and (non alcoholic) maple syrup for only $ 5. I can tell you right off the bat that I do like my bourbon, but I loved the maple syrup the most. It was dark and had a great balance of being subtle yet sweet at the same time. My friend bought a bottle for the road home, now I regret not doing the same. The girls at the front were extremely informative and exceptionally conversational.

I love whiskey.
Woodinville makes a rye and a bourbon and I prefer the latter, even though I traditionally like rye better. But, what surprised me is I like their vodka the best. Yes, they make a vodka! The vodka is called Peabody and is very sippable.
During the $ 5 tasting, you get a taste of the bourbon, rye and vodka and finish with the whiskey maple syrup. The syrup would be amazing on chicken and waffles!
It’s always crowded when I’ve gone but still managed to do a tasting with little wait time. They also offer a free tour of the distillery, where you learn about the history of how Woodinville Whiskey came to be, as well as their whiskey and vodka making process.
The distillery is next to Hollywood Tavern which makes for a good pit stop after whiskey tasting.

I am not a whiskey gal my poison of choice is usually vodka. But with that being said thought we would give this whiskey place a try.
We did the tasting which was a whiskey, bourbon, vodka and maple syrup. Just like other place the $ 5 tasting fee can be used toward a purchase of a bottle. I enjoyed the whiskey and bourbon. They had great flavors. The maple syrup was delicious! But to me I loved the vodka, with the hints of vanilla without being added! It’s perfection, so smooth could drink straight.
We also did the tour which was very informative. So much information about that little distillery!
And the building is also great. Love the outside area, would be perfect for a party. Also have a small gift shop area.
I highly recommend checking this place out even if your not a whiskey drinker!

I didn’t try anything here. BUT my friends boyfriend did and he said everything he tasted was great, especially the vodka which was the one thing he doesn’t care for as much out of the other types of alcohol.
For only $ 5 this was a great stop for tastings in woodinville!
It is small though so I can imagine it could get crowded.

Stopped by for the tour and tasting. The tour is free and takes about 30 minutes. You get to see the entire distilling and barreling process, including tasting the mash. They have the largest copper distiller in the US, which looks really cool. Tastings are $ 5 which gives you a sample of bourbon, rye, vodka and maple syrup. For me, the rye and the maple syrup were standouts. The tasting comes with a $ 5 coupon, so if you buy something the tasting is free!

This was our second stop after Novelty Hill Januik Winery and just down the street right off Woodinville-​Redmond Road (on the right). We visited on a Tuesday afternoon so there was a lot of parking. Funny thing to note, the wineries were virtually empty at this time but the eatery next to this location was filled with people eating, no doubt from imbibing and having to eat right after ha ha. Smart to have a food place at the entrance of Woodinville ;-) It is not connected to Woodinville Whiskey but duly noted that it was pretty popular.
Whiskey pour/​tasting fee ($ 5) was deducted from the cost of a bottle of Whiskey or spirits. I am not a big whiskey fan so I purchased a smallish bottle of Woodinville Whiskey Maple Syrup that’s been aged in the Whiskey barrels for $ 20 and it was very good. Not sure if I’ll ever open the bottle for a mere pancake. My friend bought a bottle of whiskey and said it was some of the smoothest he’s had.
I was actually excited to buy the honey as suggested by others who had visited here but was told they no longer carry the honey due to it being pretty high-​maintenance.
Nice place overall. If you walk out to the main street and look away from the parking lot, you’ll find Columbia Winery to your left and Château Ste Michelle on the right.

They make whiskey, vodka and syrup. Each as special as the next. Best way to find out is with he $ 5 tasting. Yes you heard me right. A $ 5 TASTING! Can’t get any better than that.
The only thing that makes me sad is that they no longer make the honey… but they have enough supply for maybe «a few months» before there is no more.

This is a pretty cool place. It’s a relatively new distillery, and they’ve only been making bourbon for a couple of years. They have a cool tasting room where you can try out the whiskey, a cool tour, and even a couple of other unique items including barrel aged honey and maple syrup.
I liked the bourbon, and it’s pretty cool that they are aging it in smaller barrels to accelerate the aging process. Otherwise, it’s kindof a long wait before your product can go to market. I also learned some interesting things on the tour.
The one thing I thought was cool was the gift barrel where you can age your own whiskey. They basically sell it as a set, you add the moonshine, and then age it until it’s ready. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. Unfortunately we didn’t have room in our baggage to carry that back!

My first experience with Woodinville Whiskey was buying their home whiskey aging system. They specialize in aging whiskey in smaller barrels to concentrate the flavor and reduce overall aging time. It makes sense since there is more surface area per unit volume. Unfortunately, their ages whiskey products can only be sold in Washington state — probably due to federal regulations on bourbon and rye whiskey production.
The micro-​distillery operates east of Seattle in the Woodinville area including Redhook & Château Ste Michele. The building houses a tasting bar and a small production facility. All of their grains come from Washington state. For $ 5 you get a small taste of their whiskeys, vodka, and the barrel-​aged honey and maple syrup. They will give your tasting fee as credit if you buy a bottle. It is rather expensive whiskey, but I enjoyed the rye which was very smooth and spicy. Definitely worth a stop!

I know everyone talks about the $ 5 tasting and I think it is worth it if you are in the area. You get three reasonably generous pours of alcohol and also samples of honey and maple syrup.
The rye is by far my favorite. The bourbon is okay and the vodka is pretty smooth and caramel tasting if you sip it, and tastes like burny vodka if you shoot it. (We actually got two samples each of the vodka because the staff forgot about us for about ten minutes.)
The last two sample items are the barrel aged honey and maple syrup. It only says maple syrup on the tasting menu but there also is a honey sample. Once the whiskey is emptied from the barrels they’re refilled with honey or syrup so they pick up the whiskey and woody flavors. The honey just tasted like honey and wasn’t remarkable. However, the maple syrup is freaking amazing. It is a bit pricey, but maple syrup usually is. I reckon it is better than regular maple syrup!
The service is a bit inconsistent; one time we went on a weekend and had really attentive service with some really friendly and informative staff; we were also there last Saturday and it was super busy and we got relegated to the corner away from the bar. We got one drink every 5 – 10 minutes when someone would see us and ask if we needed help, so that was a bit disappointing.
Despite that, we ended up buying a few bottles, and the $ 5 discount applies to each bottle!
There is a parking lot outside but it is usually pretty busy. There is a baseball field down the road near Red Hook with lots more parking and is still within decent walking distance.
