History

Established in 1997.

Kenneth and Shannon Cole opened for business as GNC Franchisees in 1997. They were very impressed with the 75plus years that GNC has been in business, striving to build on that reputation and support our growing local community. With their healthy lifestyles, it seemed to be a natural fit. Their goal has been and continues to be to provide the best customer service possible, through themselves and their friendly staff.

Manager

Jake is our General Manager. Starting as a customer in 1998, Jake sought the expert advice and premium products to support highschool and college athletics. With years of formal training and study (college, seminars, conventions, etc), Jake has been providing the highest standard of customer service for over 10 years. Jake’s loves his customers and is grateful for our community.

Stopped by specifically for Quest Protein powder. They had 7x big bottles of Strawberries and Cream on the shelf — ALL with expired dates. The clerk showed little care after he determined he couldn’t sell them. «Sorry. Can’t help you. The owner usually does a better job of catching dates. Have a good night!» Would give zero stars if I could.

I have been to other GNCs and was a little offset by their customer service. The dude who works there is extremely helpful and not pushy at all. On top of that he is extremely knowledgeable of the products this particular store carries and does an excellent job at explaining them and recommending you products for your needs. If you live on the greater east side this should be tour place for supplements.

This guy is a dude!!! Extremely helpful, made me feel comfortable. I went there with some advice from the friendly neighborhood and unreliable google and he backed them up with certain valuable tips of his own. He is very geniune and has good knowledge about the field of nutrition. Picked up some things which were not in my radar. I am a customer for life.

I went in to redeem a free cliff bar coupon I had gotten from gnc, Jake said they didn’t carry them but instead recommended a different bar and then gave me some new samples they had got in. Unlike other gnc s he didn’t try to sell me anything and he was pleasant to talk to. I was impressed and will return. The shop is larger and better organized than other gncs in my area, and the prices are about the same as others.

Just went here to pick up a supplement recommended by friend. I don’t like GNC because typically they are either not knowledgeable or just trying to make a sale. I must say I was impressed with Jake’s education and his own personal struggles. It was the first time in a GNC store that someone seemed sincere.
I bought some extra supplements on Jake’s recommendation. I will let you know if it is effective.
ASIDE: I also noticed 3 other people come in to the store while I was there and he had a personable touch with each one, and it was reciprocated by each person.

I’ve been to a few of these over the years of trying to get in shape, stay in shape or just get a cool water bottle with a spring ball inside…
All kidding aside, of all those GNC stores, this was the only store where I didn’t feel some kind of animosity to the person who was trying to up-sell a product or has an employee that thinks taking 45 pills and not working out will yield results. I went in, joked around for a bit and got down to business. Jake turned around and returned the banter, listened to what I was trying to accomplish and got me hooked up with the right products.
Validation: on one of my CF workouts, the subject of supplements came up and I mentioned Jake to the coach. He spoke very favorably of the store and of Jake’s knowledge… it goes to show that great customer service and will get your name out there!

Love this gnc!!! The workers here actually sound n know what they’re talking about. So far everything they’ve recommended which by the way weren’t the most expensive ones have worked for me. It didn’t feel like they were trying to sell me things that I didn’t need unlike other places I’ve been. Definitely gonna come here for all my workout supplements.
