I still love this place. Between home and my kids’ schools I pass 3 coffee options. I routinely choose Common Ground over the others. The stand is owned and operated locally they serve up delicious organic brew(and Monin syrups) with a friendly smile. Sometimes they’ll double punch my loyalty card which is a nice surprise after a rough morning wrangling everyone off to school. If you like the flavor of a ‘Snickers’ or ‘Almond Joy’, but not the sweety-sweet stuff, you can ask for half syrup and its just right! Yum!

Common Ground is a wonderful little family-owned coffee stand. They have great tasting organic coffee and a wide variety of dairy and non-dairy milk options. The baristas are always very friendly. I stop here every morning on my way to work! Prepaid cards are the way to go. They get you through quickly and you even get one coffee free for every 10 you buy. It’s a much better deal than that coffee monolith based in Seattle.

You not only get terrific coffee but personality to boot! This is «my» place. As the owner peeks out the window to see which cars are in line(she knows EVERYONE’S drinks) I give her a thumbs up or thumbs down if I want it iced or hot! If you role up and there’s five people in front of you, DON’T FRET! She multi tasks like a queen and your in and out in no time!

My wife and I have started frequenting this quaint drive-thru espresso stand. I absolutely love their raspberry mocha and my wife their caramel latte. Friendly service too.

One of my fondest memories of living in Seattle are the little barista carts that seemingly dotted every street corner. Those seem to be gone now but the roadside espresso shacks remain, especially on the Eastside. Common Ground is the epitome of this, situated in a corner lot behind a mossy A-frame at the proverbial end of the road — at least the end of Avondale. They brew Kalani organic coffee which, in addition to the caffeine, makes me feel good. The espresso was great. Strong but not bitter and near perfection with a splash of cream. Better still? Only a buck for a dopio! Can’t wait to breeze through again!

This place may only looking like one of those cheap, awful drive-thru stands, but it’s the complete opposite! The baristas are friendly and they know how to make delicious lattes. I tried it when moving back to the Eastside after a few years in Eugene. I’m happy there’s at least one place around that can deliver fair-trade organic espresso(and not be condescending about it). When I told them I was new to the area, they even offered to make my drink for free! I look forward to drinking from there again.

This is one of those coffee«huts» that sits off the road. This one is where Avondale ends in Woodinville. It is kitty-corner from the Safeway. Service is great. I will actually drive a little out of my way to go get my morning joe. It is much cheaper than Starbucks(in the safeway) and the coffee is as good. I think they offer things other than coffee like pastries and smoothies. My kids like it since it is quick and if the get a cocoa, it comes with a sucker! Can’t say anything bad other than I wish they 24⁄7 sometimes…
