Classic provides unique and comprehensive landscape design and build services that enable you to get your outdoor project completed. From landscape architectural planning and comprehensive on-​budget estimates, to the ability to «see the plants before you start» at our nursery facility. We offer complimentary on site landscape consulting, free estimates and a ‘best-​in-​the-​industry’ warranty. From our 10 acre nursery in Woodinville, Classic offers mixed evergreen and deciduous trees, shrubs, perennials, berries and specialty plant materials. We also bid plans from other landscape companies and design firms. Classic offers garden supplies and award winning landscape design and installation, from small garden projects to multi-​phased complex hardscape installations including all types of decks, walks, walls, water features, lighting, irrigation and patio construction. History

Established in 1984.

Classic Nursery & Landscape Company is located in Woodinville and family owned. Our 10-​acre garden center has a gift store with antiques, handmade gifts and work by local artists. We are also fortunate to have the Sammamish River Trail border the perimeter of our property. From our previous Redmond location, we were awarded an unprecedented two Green Globe awards from King County for our wildlife education efforts. We are now located at a larger 10 acre facility in the midst of Woodinville’s lovely Tourist District, about 1 mile north of the Hollywood Schoolhouse in the picturesque Sammamish Valley. Alan B.

Business Owner

Alan Burke is a graduate of the University of South Florida as well as the University of Florida. He has a background as a practicing landscape architect in Los Angeles and Seattle. Pacific Magazine, The Los Angeles Times Magazine, Northwest Home+Garden and American Home have featured his design work. A residential garden design that he prepared at the request of the editors of Sunset is displayed on the back cover of the first edition of The Sunset Western Landscaping Book. With over two decades in King County and a staff of up to 50, Classic is a comprehensive landscape and nursery operation on 10 acres in Woodinville. Classic performs all aspects of outdoor construction as well as landscape care, consulting, retail garden sales and environmental education. Classic’s outdoor projects have earned numerous Grand Awards and Awards of Distinction from the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals.

Don at Classic Nursery searched his suppliers for a couple of seasons to find specific trees for me. He finally was able to get them. The staff is very nice, helpful and professional. The guys who delivered and planted the trees did a great job and gave me a tip on how to help my existing plants to do well. I had a happy experience with the nursery.

Using Classic Nursery, we made some significant changes to our landscaping last year, including outdoor lighting. The company and everyone there with whom we interacted was a joy to work with. They’re creative, responsible, professional, timely, and use great communication. Our outdoor lighting recently went out when we were doing fall hedging. Classic Nursery immediately returned our call asking them if they could help and then proceeded to come out and fix it right away. We couldn’t be happier with both the results and the experience.

I had an entirely pleasant experience with Classic Nursery. The work was done on time, and I didn’t encounter any of the «pitfalls» that friends had warned me about when working with other landscapers. Alan was able to adjust his suggestions to suit my preferences, and made a lot of really useful comments … and was easy to get hold of if I had questions. All the workers seemed quite capable, as well.
The result is lovely.

I have known and worked with Alan Burke since 1993 well before he was the owner of Classic Nursery and Landscape. I have always found him and his work to be highly creative, top quality and respectful to our environment. Alan has demonstrated to me that he stands 100% behind the work his guys do. I fully recommend Classic Nursery and Landscaping. Alan could immediately hear me and what I wanted, could turn that into a design that worked perfectly while truly doing what he could to keep the project within the budget I was hoping for. His crews he sent out were incredibly hard working and talented. Eric and crew even went so far as to imagine a play space for the kids out of an old tree that I had cut down, and placed them firmly in the ground so that they could climb on them without the risk of them tumbling over. With each person from Classic going the extra mile, thinking about who lives in the house and how we each can get what we need out of the space that we have the investment will be worth it for years to come! And Don out at the nursery couldn’t be more accommodating, knowledgable, and completely at your service. Thanks guys!

We have a small backyard with many challenges. Alan’s ideas helped us make the most out of our small space while keeping in mind our limited budget. His crew was courteous and on time throughout our project, which lasted about a week. I especially appreciated the follow-​up visit by Alan to deliver warranty, nursery discount, and care instructions and to ensure that we were happy with how the project turned out.

Good nursery. I was disappointed in their selection of indoor plants, but they had an expansive selection of outdoor plants. They are pretty hands off so you can wander without being bothered, but it also means you have to go find help when you want it.

I contacted Classic Nursery via their website mid Spring. I received a prompt reply from their landscaping department, and a quick/​convenient appointment was arranged with a landscape architect. He was prompt, questioned me a lot about my «wants» and needs, took many photos of my backyard, and promised to have a plan back to me within a week. Since I could not afford to landscape everything at once, the architect made a three phase plan, which I could install within a three year period. All costs were detailed. I did have Classic complete Phase 1. The crew doing installation was wonderful, professional, and fast! The landscape architect visited the site to make sure everything was going well. When the project was completed, the architect came back to go over all the details with me again.
My experience could not have been more positive. I will definitely be working with Classic again for Phase 2 and 3. Additionally, I will visit their nursery for any needs I may have.
I highly recommend Classic Nursery!

I enjoyed wandering this nursery today. It is surrounded by woods and, were it not for the occasional car noise, you could almost forget that you are just yards away from a pretty major road.
They had lots of informative booklets available — on natural methods for lawn care, water conservation and the like. They were certainly not «in your face» about this, but seemed to honestly believe that chemical-​free, environmentally friendly, is best and passed this information on so customers could be informed and make their own decisions about caring for their gardens — and how to do so most easily should they choose to go the «natural» route.
This is not the hugest garden center around, but they still have a nice selection of diverse and healthy-​looking plants. And, of course, this is not prime gardening season. I look forward to making a return visit in the spring.
