Okay, so I sold my «Easy» button at the garage sale this fall because I was mad at Staples rebate process — it was not easy. I got a reject postcard for a color printer rebate because I was missing the orig receipt and UPC code.
[Blah blah — I had sent in a duplicate receipt because the printer on the original receipt was refunded in order to turn in in my old laser, a day later, for free recycling — woof woof.]
So I’m rummaging around the desk today and find the letter to Staples explaining why I had a dup receipt and that I forgot the UPC code and that I wasn’t going to open the box now until I got the rebate yada yada yada and if they would please send me back the dup receipt so I could return the printer yada yada yada. Never heard back.
So I stop at the store — 6 mos later — and ‘splain the situ. You’ve probably stopped reading by now.

No problem, said Manager Jeremy, do you want to return the printer or do you want the rebate?
I’ll take the rebate I said. And now I’ll use the printer. If I only knew it was that EASY! Anyone want to buy a used HP ink jet printer?
