Great office location with clean and modern dental equipment. Office staff are accommodating and will work around your schedule if you need an appointment change. It’s always a pleasant experience when I visit.

I am fairly displeased with the service I received with Dr. Jacquie’s practice. I purchased a Zoom teeth whitening Groupon and immediately made a reservation at the East Islip location. I was told I had to wait two weeks for availability in East Islip. I was okay with this and looked forward to this date with some trepidation (I heard the procedure was painful for those with tooth sensitivity), so I was actually pretty thankful that I had a couple of weeks to prepare with Sensodyne.
I received a call the day before the appointment, confirming the time and place with me, and then the day finally arrived. I took two Advil just in case it hurt and I showed up promptly at the East Islip location (inside a Cactus Salon). The receptionist informed me that no one from Dr. Jacquie’s office was there yet. So, I waited. And waited. And waited. The receptionist told me she tried to reach her office for me, but couldn’t get a hold of anyone. So, I called them for myself and left a message saying that I was waiting for them and wanted to make sure everything was okay.
I finally got a voicemail from a dental assistant saying that I had an appointment in their Dix Hills location and had now missed it. Um, what? I don’t live anywhere near Dix Hills and never would have made this appointment there. I told her as much and even double-​checked that the confirmation email and voicemail I received said East Islip. She called me back and apologized and said that my appointment WAS in East Islip and they would be there in 20 minutes. Fast forward something more like 30 minutes and they finally arrived. After another 15 minutes of set-​up (mind you… roughly an hour and a half after my original appointment time), I was sitting in the exam chair, placed inside what I believe is a massage/​facial room inside of Cactus Salon. Since their set-​up is portable, the chair was very uncomfortable and I constantly felt like I was sliding off of it. Anyway, the moment arrived and I started my first round of treatment, trying my hardest not to slide out of the chair. It wasn’t too bad and I made it through two additional rounds (both of which were 10 minutes instead of 15). And then was ushered out because the next appointment was waiting right there in the hallway.
I should note that throughout the treatment process, the dentist said I should have come to their Woodbury Office, as their East Islip one is merely a satellite. Then why do you even have it if you’re not proud to be operating out of it?
The results? Well, they were pretty lackluster. The whole process was pain-​free for me, however, my teeth looked like I used maybe half a box of whitening strips… the color was lightened a little bit, but nowhere near the white I’ve seen in before/​after pictures. I feel like between my minimal improvement and the fact that it suspiciously didn’t hurt, I was not given the proper teeth whitening experience (this is not to say I WANTED it to hurt, I just found it suspicious because I’ve been in a decent amount of pain using OTC whitening stuff). I believe that it should have been 4 rounds, 15 minutes each. But since they were running behind due to their own negligence, they skimped on my treatment time and perhaps the whitening solution. I assume that since I was using a Groupon with a reduced price, they felt justified in doing this.
These are all assumptions, however, I have no desire to find out. I feel like this office is a disorganized mess and I refuse to do any further business with them. A few days after my treatment, 6:45AM on a Sunday, I received an email stating that I made a dental appointment with their Woodbury Office at 8:30AM on Monday. At this point, I became familiar with a lot of the negative reviews and I was suspicious that this was an attempt to get me on the hook for an office fee. I very quickly called with a voicemail and made sure to note that I did NOT make this appointment and will NOT be coming to their office. I have not heard from them since, with no explanation or anything, I hope to never hear from them again.
All in all… my teeth aren’t damaged, I’m in no pain… my teeth are slightly lightened. Not worth the money I paid, certainly not worth the money I WOULD have paid, but it could have been much worse. Be wary of this office.

I wanted to follow up my review with an update. It is now Saturday ³⁄₃₀. The procedure was done on Wednesday ³⁄₂₇ and as of this morning, my daughter was still in severe discomfort. She has not been able to eat and the only time she speaks is when she is crying. I called the office late last night and left a message that this is now an emergency. I left a message on the voice mail of the «emergency» line last night and I left another message early this morning explaining in detail that this is an urgent situation. It is now 11am and my daughters doctor has not returned any of our calls. I was left with no choice but to call other orthodontist offices and beg for someone to remove this metal expander. A doctor at a practice in Massapequa also attempted to contact Dr. Jacquie or someone in her office for permission to remove the expander. After they could not reach anyone, they called us back and said to come in right away. They removed the expander because they cared about our situation and put my daughter first. They did this AT NO CHARGE. My daughter is eating and speaking now and everything is back to normal thanks to this practice in Massapequa.
Shameful how you have neglected my family. Shameful.
