Mel O was my colorist and stylist yesterday. She did great with my blond highlights but a terrible job with my haircut. I had long frizzy hair and was ready to try a long bob. I showed her pictures of what I wanted but all she did was to massacre my hair. She cut my hair very short on the front and in layers when I asked her to not do that. Plus the left side is longer than the right side. She let my hair medium length in the back. This is the worst haircut I ever had. If you go to see her just stick with highlights and don’t let her approach a pair of scissor from your head!

Suki has been my stylist at Statements for about 4 years. It isn’t easy to find someone who gives a good cut and color consistently, but she nails it every time. She is also fast, takes about 1.5 hours to do my hair.

I have been going to Jen at Statements for the last five years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. She is focused and pays great attention to detail. The one time I wasn’t thrilled with the color, I went back a few days later and it was taken care of with no questions asked. Like another person said, they don’t accept tips — this really helps to keep the cost down. I’ve referred several friends there and they have also been extremely happy with the service and product.

I have been going to Statements for 2 years now, and I have been extremely pleased with the services of the salon. I normally see Rebecca, and she is great! She is an apprentice level stylist, which means she is less expensive than some of the other stylists, but she is just as talented! My husband just started going to her, as well. I have a friend that see Maria there, and she loves her, too!

Recently I went to Statements for a haircut. I chose someone who is in the top tiers because it had been a while since my last cut and I moved to this area from another state. I was very specific in what I wanted, very simple, even gave an example of how I liked it cut because it looks the best when cut that way. The reply I got back was«Well some stylists do it that way, but it really doesn’t make a difference». The stylist ignored my direction and did it her way. It took the stylist 15mins if that, so you know it’s not a complex cut. I spent almost 3 times more for a cut that I could have had done at a Hair Cuttery, SuperCuts, etc. Paying the price I paid, for a top tiers person I shouldn’t have to go back a second time to get what I should have gotten the first time. My time is valuable, gas is very expensive so it would make no sense to go back to get it «FIXED». Very disappointed. I don’t understand why there isn’t more reviews, but I hope mine will help someone else make the best decision for them.

I’ve been a client of Jen’s at Statements for awhile now. When moving to a new area, it’s hard to find those people you just feel comfortable going to for different services. One of the first things that drew me to this salon(aside from a friend’s recommendation) was the fact that it is a no-tipping salon. They won’t let you tip! That helps with the cost and I find the consistency of the services I receive there is always top notch. Jen listens carefully, and offers suggestions for color/cut and I have been happy each time. I’ve also used their spa services and find that those, too are good for the money. Bottom line: Nice salon touches, and consistent service make Statement the one and only place I trust with my hair.
