Had a problem with ants finding their way into the house! But slug a bug quickly solved that. They were very nice, and were on time! After one ant treatment we have not seen any more ants! Thanks slug a bug!

Just signed up for the comprehensive pest control program. Mike and Cher were really great in helping me. There was no hard sell and I know they are a local business. Appreciate their hard work on a very hot day.

We haven’t used their quarterly pest services so we can’t speak in regards to that, but we used Slug-​A-​Bug for termite inspections twice when selling a property and purchasing a property. They do a very thorough job in inspecting properties and really get into every nook and cranny. The technician was always on time or early and did a good job in explaining any issues that came up. We’ve used other pest control companies before that charge a little less for the WDI report, but we feel they didn’t really do a good job and were either uncommunicative, glossing over issues, or did a sloppy job in applying pest control treatments. Their pricing is competitive with other pest control companies in the NOVA area and we felt their services provided better value than their competitors. Recommended!

We signed up with Slug-​A-​Bug back in the fall after parting ways with another pest control company that was totally unresponsive and did nothing other than bill us.
Slug-​A-​Bug has always been on time, always explains what the plan is, and is reasonable relative to cost. I recommend them.

Very pleased with Slug-​A-​Bug. Just had another treatment yesterday and this morning the results were amazing. At the front of our garage were multiple spiders, one of which is a black widow. And on our front porch was this HUGE spider that had been hiding behind the siding. Mike, our technician, is very professional and knowledgeable. Overall, very happy with their service!

We have been using slug-​a-​bug for pest and termite control since 2005. They are very reliable and effective. Their prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend them! We had a hornet’s nest one time and they came out the same day to remove it. Great service!

We have had an ant situation for the last four years (they seem to arrive in the summer once the rain starts and depart by fall) and this year it got so bad my husband and I decided to call Slug A Bug to get rid of them. We didn’t want to call a major company, as we wanted to support a local business. And thanks to the great reviews on Unilocal,we gave Slug A Bug a call. So glad we did!
I called this Monday and they had time to come out and inspect our house the next day (yesterday)! Mike (?) came and was very personable and patiently listened to our ant related issues. He then recommended several options, not once trying to up sell or push us on a service.
Mike then sprayed our interior and exterior and told us to expect to still see some ants until it takes effect… but he was wrong… I haven’t seen ONE ant since he left the house! Within an hour of his spraying/​departure I haven’t run into another ant! That’s saying a lot as there were several that were running around when he arrived.
We also had experience with a rat outside and he put out a bait trap/​box (?) and service for only $ 25 more! Everything was affordable and within our budget considering it was a last minute/crisis/can’t-take-it-anymore/Raid-stopped-working kind of situation.
My husband and I are very pleased with the quality service we experienced and I was so happy to wake up today not seeing pesky little ants in our kitchen.

We have used Slug-​a-​bug for over 10 years for our single family home. Their professional, expert service for pest control has always been great. It does make a difference to have some type of pest control for the exterior of the home. Occasionally, we have them spray the interior too.

I needed assurance that I had no issues with termites and decided to call Slug-​A-​Bug based on the Unilocal ratings. The technician showed up on the early side of the time range mentioned by the very nice customer service person at the office. That was impressive. The technician was professional, very knowledgeable, and thoroughly described what he would do to check my home for any issues. He asked questions on anything I may have noticed that would help him assess for any issues in addition to the thorough inspection. He took the time to put on protective «booties» to protect my carpeting.
This company is solid, and I like the idea of providing business to a very competent and local company. It’s a double win.

When we moved into our rental townhome, I noticed a little «infestation» of my most hated Virginia bug — the cave/​camel/​spider cricket. We were planning on having guests stay with us in the basement, but not if those things were living down there too!
I called Slug-​A-​Bug (or my landlord did, either way…) and started us on their quarterly pest service. The technician explained it this way — the first spray is interior and exterior perimeter (which covers basically every single crack and crevice you can imagine), and then quarterly is perimeter only. However, we have been lucky and if we’re home, they’ll also spray the interior which is very helpful. He said the bugs won’t stop immediately, but with the continued sprays we’ll get their eggs which means when they go to hatch and reproduce they won’t have that chance.
We’ve had their services for about 5 quarters now and have been quite happy. I see occasional bugs in the basement but they’re dead or just about there which is a great sign.
Once they came and it rained the next day, and I started seeing bugs in the basement. They came back and did another exterior spray at no extra charge.
Also, they mentioned that the product they use is not the strongest product available, but is the strongest allowed by law in Virginia, so you’re getting the best you can.
The technicians are nice, thorough, and friendly. I’ve been very happy with their service.
