Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

I personally love Rocky Mountain chocolate factory. But this location is extremely rude. Today was the first time coming to this location (I usually go to the one in Springfield) and the salesperson who was at first «helping us» kept staring at us while me and my friend were looking around. When finally deciding on a Carmel Apple, who I believe was a manager was rushing the transaction and I heard the salesperson laugh at us for taking so long? I was not impressed with this location at all and don’t plan on coming to this one again. Their Carmel Apple was good, just like the Springfield location, but if I am paying 5 dollars for an apple I can make at home, at least show me that you appreciate my business.

If you love chocolate, this place will completely satiate your appetite. There’s a variety of chocolate delicacies that you can get boxed for a simple, easy to-​go gift or for your own guilty pleasure. I recommend their giant peanut butter cup. Love Reese’s? Think again. This giant cup of peanut butter has nice, thick outer coatings of chocolate that has a wonderful snap that only high-​quality tempered chocolates have. The peanut butter filling isn’t salty nor thick. It’s more like a peanut butter moose that is smooth and rich. It’s to die for. Try it :) There are also large selection of truffles which are a bit pricey, but trust me, you’ll be amazed at the unique flavors and quality of cacao.
Their chocolate covered strawberries are made fresh every day, or should I say every few hours because they’re just so popular! You can even preorder a bored or gift arrangement of these for special occasions!
I’d have to say, my favorite thing about this place is their caramel apples. Ask the staff when they’re brewing up their next kettle of caramel and enjoy the craft caramel apples! There are lots of variety ranging from the simple caramel or candy coated apples, to caramel apples tossed in different nuts, and decadent apples! My favorite would have to be the decadent Pecan Bear Apple! Nice, tart, juicy, green Granny Smith apples covered in caramel and tossed in pecans, then drizzled with a generous amount of milk, dark, and white chocolates! I’m drooling as I write this review. Here’s a nice tip — get them to cut it for you and bag it! Save yourself the messy hassle and enjoy it while strolling around the mall! The tartness of the apple is balanced out by the sweetness of the chocolate and caramel. And the pecans add a nice rich nutty taste and crunchy texture. Here’s another tip! They go great as gifts and are sure to please! Ask the staff to wrap them in gift bags and you got yourself as delicious satisfying gift! You should definitely do this when they have their Buy 3 Get 1 Free apple deal.
I’m definitely planning on going back. It’s a great way to treat yourself. You wouldn’t think to walk into a chocolate store because of the availability of chocolates everywhere else. However, I’m dead on serious when I say you got to try the quality of their chocolate. It may not be «Swiss» like my fellow Unilocaler reviewed, but you can taste the natural flavors of the cacao. As an actual chocolate connoisseur, chocolate is good when it’s smooth and rich like Swiss style. However, the actual cacao flavor should also be present, and RMCF definitely has quality chocolate that respects that.

Delicious caramel covered apples! They give you the option of cutting it which is way easier on the hands. I got the caramel covered apple with walnuts and devoured the whole thing. They also sell homemade chocolates, fudges, and dog treats!

This is one of the worst chocolates I’ve ever tasted. First time having it today. the truffles are horrible way too sweet makes me sick. I will stick to Swiss.

Pecan Carmel Apple is the best!!! I prefer for them to slice mine rather then biting into it. You can enjoy your apple better that way and it’s less messy esp if you want to share. The apples are a nice size and are always fresh!

Think I will be ordering from them online! Up until last week I have never had chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. But wow, I had the english toffee bar and the almond cluster. YUM! I will definately be ordering some carmel apples for our annual Halloween get together… I think they will be awesome not only to eat but to use as part of the table decorations!

They have the best chocolate or/​and caramel covered apples. They are too die for. I love the caramel cheesecake apple. Too bad I may not be able to eat from there again since one molar chipped today and a huge chunk of tooth popped out after eating chips. Too scared and lazy to see a dentist. Haven’t seen one years so I will probably have just my front teeth in 20 years.
