Dixie Bones Catering

We have eaten at Dixie Bones for many years plus we have picked up food for small parties at our home. Always great. When we held a wedding rehearsal dinner at our home recently, we took advantage of their delivery service. The driver, forgot his name, was on time, courteous, and offered to show us how to set up the chafing dishes. I worked with Shelby via email to set up the menu and delivery options. She answered all questions. When she was out, Lyza, answered any remaining questions. The whole event was a success. Our out of area guests loved the food. Our local guests were excited to eat BBQ from Dixie Bones. Using Dixie Bones catering made the event a lot easier. The cost was very reasonable for what we received. The food was delicious.

Love this place. Great food and fast service. Good ready within 15 mins or less for small groups. Overall a great place to eat and one of my fav spots in Woodbridge to eat at.

Absolutely the best catfish anywhere period. Awesome mac and cheese, collard greens, cabbage and pink lemonade. And always be seated with Bridget, she’s the best!

I picked up Dixie Bones catering for a group picnic and it was awesome. Having eaten at the restaurant, I knew the food was good, but the catering experience was really professional and easy. We got some pulled pork for sandwiches and barbecue chicken, with cole slaw and baked beans for sides. Everything was perfectly packed and sealed in aluminum trays, wrapped in plastic wrap, insulated with foam, and sealed in cardboard boxes ready to go. It was almost too perfectly packed, as I kind of felt the need to unpack it to make sure I had everything, which I did. If you’re catering an event and want to turn the cooking over to someone else, you can’t do too much better than Dixie Bones Catering.

I completely agree with Miriam. This place is good! The only thing I have to add is that they are open for lunch too. Definitely worth checking out.

How I ended up at a catered BBQ in the Northern Virginia suburbs is of little importance. What you really want to hear about is how good the food from Dixie Bones Catering was! As soon as I queued up in the buffet line I knew I was in for a good lunch. I grabbed a homemade bun and split it open in preparation for the BBQ pork I was about to pile on top. Next I spooned a hearty portion of baked beans and a little cole slaw onto my plate followed by some sauce for the meat. To round out my meal I selected a thick, fresh-​baked chocolate chip cookie and a cup of sweet tea.
There was no way I could resist going back for seconds!
The meat is flavorful even without the addition of sauce, the baked beans savory and definitely not from a can and the cookie surprisingly chewy (how many BBQ joints do you know that make good cookies?)
According to the Dixie Bones website, they do events for 100 to 5,000 people. I think they’d make a great choice for any casual, outdoor affair. Additionally, the staff is conscientious and friendly.
