We purchased a Ducati from Coleman Power Sports and everything went quickly and smoothly. Tommy did an awesome job with helping us out. We put a down payment to keep the bike on hold it until there wasn’t a downpour outside, and then made sure to go back to finish the purchase when we knew Tommy would be available. We really liked the service we received when he worked with us while we were shopping for our bike. Paula was very helpful too and got us set up with insurance at a great rate and extended warranty that was such a good deal. We would definitely go back to Coleman for any additional purchases.

My first time there this afternoon. I used their service dept today for an inspection, and their accessories dept for a Bluetooth system for my helmet. Everyone was helpful, courteous, and friendly. The Bluetooth system is cheaper on amazon, but I believe in supporting local businesses when I can. The service dept staff was very knowledgeable.

These guys were great made this an almost painless purchase but even when something wasnt 100% to my satisfaction at first they went out of their way to fix it!!! Shout out to David for being the most attentive salesman, James for helping out when david was out even though he is a redskins fan, dj for entertaining me while I waited to do paperwork, Paula for being the friendliest finance person ever, Greg for all the knowledge and Mike in parts and Shawn the tech for helping get everything hooked up properly to tow! You guys rock!!!

Never use Colemans to get your tires changed. They ruin your rims and say they aren’t liable for the damage their machines cause. My very expensive wheel on my Ducati Diavel is scraped up. All they could do was shrug their shoulders and offer touch up paint. They are supposed to be a Ducati dealership. I wrote a warning on their Facebook page which they promptly deleted. These guys are terrible.

The GM and new Service Manager contacted me and promised to take care of this issue by replacing my wheel. This week, they finally came through on the promise. Unfortunately, the new rear wheel is matte black while my front wheel remains glossy black. It was a good effort and I give them an extra star for it. But I’m going to have to buy a whole new set or get this wheel polished to match.

Great place to buy your motorcycle. Not to sure about the rest of the place, service is back logged, not sure if the cashier knows how to smile, the people in the deal in parts and accessories are awesome. It just seems like they are only about sales and don’t care to much after the sale. All of the sales people are great

Was working with the assistant sale manager for a week and had a verbal deal on an ATV, as well as an email with details of the deal. After agreeing to deal the assistant sales manager said they could no longer honor the agreed deal. I said fine. Asked what best price they could do on the specific ATV I wanted. No response. Called the dealership spoke to another sale person who never got back to me. I was ready to make purchase and these buffoons lost a sale b/​c of pure professionalism. I should have knew when they originally backed out of deal they were not a dealership I should be doing business with. Wish I read all of the negative reviews on Unilocal before wasting over a week on with these unprofessional.

Frustrated. I tried for 3 days to get in touch with their service department with no success. Finally I loaded my atv and made the hour trek to their location. Explaned my issue to the guy at the desk… no breaks, only to be turned away. They only work on models they carry. Mine is made by one of the manufactures they are a dealer for but that was not good enough. They outright refused to help. I just bought a used rzr and was hoping for a single shop to take care of my service needs but that is not an option here. Half way considered trading mine in for a new one there… them I thought … do I really want to buy from these guys? They have refused help now…

3 days — no returned calls… should have told me all I need to know.

For Woodbridge store. Sleeze with a side of sleaze with a topping of scum. Do not EVER ask them for advice in anything. The whole place in on commission. The only thing that drives them is $$$$. This would be ok if it was you average car dealer. But we are talking about two wheels where very bad things can happen. There is a slutty big titty middle age woman sales woman who will jiggle and juggle for you to sign on the dotted line. The parts guys will sell you anything as long as it is over priced so long as they get their commission. Do not ever buy a helmet from them. They will sell you something that does not fit just to get a commission. We are talking about a helmet. The most important part of riding a bike. This is a very sleezt place selling potentially dangerous modes of transportation and parts that only care about their commissions. Just do your homework on anything you want to buy before walking into their doors. These people are not your friends no matter how they try to make you feel that you have just found your new biker-​BFF.

There needs to be a zero star option. This review is for the WOODBRIDGE location. This place needs to understand two basic concepts of running a retail operation: the concept of customer service and the concept of time as a valuable asset that can never be recouped once it is WASTED.
We had cash in hand ready to purchase a bike this week in the 15k range, to add a 7^th bike to a growing fleet of sport– and dirt– bikes.
My boyfriend came to this place to potentially purchase an EBR 1190 sx. He is evaluating this against the BMW s1000r and aprilia tuono. At the aprilia location in Arlington their first question was if he was ready for a test ride, asked me if I wanted tea or water as they also helped complete newbie college kids test ride Vespas giving them lessons in the parking lot. Both reps were passionate about riding spoke in great detail about the differences between the rsv4, bmw and buell. At mortons in Fredericksburg, we had an awesome conversation with Ed and the owner — and when we asked to test ride the s1000r, no questions were asked aside from giving an overview of the options to play with while on his route («you can take the bike anywhere») my guy was out on the bike in less than 5 minutes. The customer lounge that had a tv and crossword puzzles, coffee/​tea/​hot chocolate and just like the Ed hung out with me and I gave him background on what was being sought after. As soon as we left mortons we headed to this place…
Let’s start with the fact that it is a massive showroom with no specialty and quite frankly no obvious experts on any single brand (at other dealerships the ones that share a passion are like magnets and come to talk story or help out — or the person you are talking to will hand you off to someone who knows what they are talking about — none of that here). In the showroom a shload of inventory of crap bikes — which upon close inspection you will notice are scuffed up and matte finish from dust build up. I’ll get to why the inventory is so large and stale in a minute… but first a word of caution just walking around this place:
Be careful walking around — the floor is bubbling up and torn/​edges flipped up in places — as if they are waiting for you to knock over a row of bikes so they can finally get them sold! Starving while you wait for ages for someone to actually help you? Don’t go to the vending machines in the «customer lounge» which has a couch about 5 inches from 2 unplugged vending machines. Ghetto.
When we came into this place we were greeted pretty quickly and as we had dinner plans in less than an hour, my bf cut to the chase and his reply to «do you need help» was «I would like to test ride this EBR 1190 sx» and pointed specifically to the bike in front of him. The immediate response was «how serious are you about it — are you going to buy it?» … We said serious and were then led to a desk where he started asking for personal information and writing it down on a paper and then warning us that the manager will have to approve a test ride and he or another person would join him on the ride… what the… He walks away and comes back saying the manager again asks us if we are serious about the bike. Are we going to buy it. And that usually they need to have an approval letter before they consider test drives.
So an uncomfortable 5 minute exchange ensues where we say «yes we are serious — we are paying cash» and he says «like serious with THAT bike»? And we are like «what else do you need from us?» We say: «well obviously the purpose of a test ride is to see if I like it so no I’m not going to guarantee that after I ride it I will buy it». I asked if we needed to show a snapshot of our checking accounts to show that we could pay for it in cash… Finally he says he’s going back to the manager to ask for approval… (Where am I? Some sleazy Rods-​Auto-​Sale –bad-​credit-​no –credit-​we-​got-​your-​back-​shadyazz-​place? Like hi manager why don’t you come talk to us in person if you are having reservations…
He says its approved but we need to wait for another guy to get back with the dealer plates. In the meantime this guy goes and sits at another desk and gets on the phone for what seemed to be 20 minutes. Then the other test rider gets back in with his salesperson escort (the salespeople escorts’ helmets are beat to sh1t and they are wearing sneakers, by the way) — so the wait for dealer plates are no longer an issue. However, we continued to sit unattended for a good 15 minutes before and started theorizing that they were trying to stall long enough to make us want to leave. Our guy goes and chats w his guys then our guy goes over to the bike and then says «Houston we have a problem. The bike is deader than a doornail. You can’t take it out anyway.
So I don’t know if this is some weird money laundering place or what but if they aren’t i certainly don’t know who or how they actually sell anything over 20 bucks here.

I dread having to take my bike here. I did once because I broke down close to them. I tried to buy there once too, but it was solo stereotypical. Not a good place. They have an AWESOME inventory and parts dept, but sales and service? No way.

By far the worst shop I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I bought a 2000 Triumph TT600 from this place in late September and it has been nothing but trouble for me since. Let me start off with some information about myself. I am a new rider and know next to nothing about how they work or what I should look for when purchasing a new or used bike. I have been riding smaller bikes on and off for about 3 years and was looking to start seriously getting into motorcycles. I saw the listing on their website and it looked enticing; ~$ 2,500, 21k miles, relatively good condition considering its age. I stopped by and spoke with David who showed me the bike. Everything looked sound from the outside apart from a few cracks in the fairings. I asked if there was anything wrong with the bike mechanically and David assured me it had gone through the service department’s inspection and was sound. I was sold and purchased the bike the next day. Seeing as I hadn’t had my endorsement at the time, I couldn’t actually ride it until that weekend. As soon as I got on it there was a multitude of problems. The engine would stall if given too much throttle, the performance was choppy and anything under 4k rpm (bike revs to 13k), the gears would get stuck between 3^rd and 4^th at times, and there was liquid leaking on the left side. Concerned, I called and asked for David who assured me he’d talk to his manager and that he’d be in contact with me as soon as they’d discussed it. A week passed and I received no call, so I took my bike to the Triumph dealer in Manassas and had them take a look at it. They found that there was no coolant in the bike and diagnosed the leak as a coolant leak. They also said the throttle issue may have to do with the throttle bodies. They said they could take a closer look at it, but they would have to charge me for it. They recommended that I call Coleman and speak with the manager to see what they could do about compensating me for costs. I called and asked for David again who said that the manager would give me a call later that day (a Saturday) or that Monday. I explained the situation to the guys at Triumph and went up to Leesburg for lunch with my friends. After finishing, I got on my bike to go home and right as I was leaving the parking lot, the left footpeg sheared off. The bike was unridable and so I had it towed to the Triumph dealer at full price (~$ 200). I called my friend who works at the Triumph dealer who told me that I should try to get a refund on my bike before any more problems arise. I saw that Coleman’s website had a 30 day guarantee worded as such: «Our ‘piece of mind’ guarantee covers our bikes for up to 30 days or 1500 miles (whichever comes first) unless clearly marked ‘As Is’.» (the wording has since been changed). Seeing this I called Coleman that Tuesday and told David that I wanted to take my bike back. He told me he would talk to his manager and give me a call back. Later on I received a call from David saying that the manager would like to talk to me personally. I went down the next day and spoke the the manager, James. I explained the situation to him and told him I wanted a full refund. He said that his dealership does not take back bikes and that any problems found after purchase would be covered ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ with the customer. I explained that the website said that they «guarantee bikes up to 30 days or 1,500mi» to which he said that there was a disclaimer which stated his offer. There was no such disclaimer and James proceeded to call the general manager of the Coleman chain who said he would have the wording changed to avoid confusion and that he was sorry for the misunderstanding. I has very unhappy and told James that I did not feel comfortable riding the bike and that any problems present in the bike should have been told to me before I made the purchase. He said that nobody in the area takes used bikes back and that anybody who said otherwise was lying in order to make a sale. I told him that I had spoken with Manassas Honda Kawasaki Suzuki and Triumph Manassas prior to even knowing about the listing and they both guaranteed that they would take bikes back within 30 days if the customer was dissatisfied. He proceeded to say that they were lying and that he sold more used bikes than anyone in the area. He then offered to pay for all the repairs in full and tow the bike from the Triumph dealer. Seeing as he would not take the bike back, I accepted and left. Unfortunately, Unilocal won’t let me add more that 5001 characters. The rest of my review is on their Google listing. Rest assured, I will never be coming back.

Lessons to Coleman Powersports…
If a gray haired guy riding a BMW comes into your dealership and expresses an interest in a $ 20,000 motorcycle, pay attention to him. He probably has money. If you ignore him, he’ll go away and you will have lost a sale.
If someone (same gray haired guy maybe?) asks your parts guy about a specific accessory for that $ 20,000 motorcycle, tell your parts guy not to automatically respond with «Nope, not made». It could just be that the gray haired guy knows something that you, Mr. parts guy, quite obviously don’t. That single comment says that you don’t know your stuff and it destroys any possibility of confidence in you.
As a general rule motorcycle dealers seem to be hell bent on making you either dislike them or hate the experience of dealing with them. There are a few exceptions of course (Bob’s BMW in Jessup, MD is excellent!) but for the most part, my experience at Coleman was, sadly, somewhat typical of what I’ve experienced at many motorcycle dealerships.
I had every intention of riding a new bike home yesterday, instead, I’m still looking. I’ll not go back to Coleman — not because they angered me in any way — but because I need to deal with people that are competent and attentive to my needs and I didn’t find that here.

Called in to ask which of the two locations deal new Honda bikes, girl on the phone said both locations deal new Hondas, transferred me to sales, I asked if they had a certain bike in stock, the guy rudely said «you have to call the Falls Church location.» I said the lady who transferred me informed me both locations sold them, he said «No we don’t.» and then he hung up. Really? That’s how you deal with calls? Teach your staff about what you actually sell, or learn to be courteous to your potential customers.

The guys in the service department here really took care of us! We were traveling on our bike from PA to VA, and caught a flat in MD. Called these guys from the side of the highway, and not only did they have the right size tire in stock, they said they’d take care of it whenever the tow truck got us there. When we arrived, they came right out and helped get the bike from the flatbed and started on it immediately. We were on our way in less than 2 hours. And even though we were basically at their mercy, we got a very fair price. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, they really saved our weekend!

Called their parts department looking for an ignition coil for my bike and have to say these people are the rudest I have ever come across in a service and parts related industry. I now see why they get all the negative reviews. Will never even think about spending another dime there ever again!

So today, I did test rides at a local Harley Davidson where I took a spin on 4 bikes, no problem, great attitudes and customer service. Since I am not completely sure yet, I thought that I would try the new 2014 Yamaha Stryker so I called Coleman ahead asking about availability. Once it was stated that they had a grey 2014, I CLEARLY stated that I would be coming right over for a demo ride. The dude was like «No problem, we have plenty of time, we don’t close until… blah blah» When I arrived at Coleman, the first guy (not the one that I talked to on the phone) asked me if I needed help. I explained the situation and he goes «Are you looking to buy something or you just want to demo». OK, not a super smart question and was definitely not a good intro for these guys, but I am not an uptight guy, so I let him slide on that. He then offered to go and get the guy that I had spoken to on the phone. Then the guy that I originally spoke to over the phone shows up and says something else objectionable, «We don’t offer demo rides on Sat.» I was like «Ahhh, that was the purpose of calling ahead», duh. He just looked at me stupidly with no explanation. After asking for the manager 3 – 4 times who was apparently outside on a smoke break, they both came back over and asserted that on the phone, the sales guy was not clear that I wanted to actually ride the bike… WOW. After making my point that they’ve just wasted my time in having me drive 25 miles there and seeing how aggravated I was, they offer to have me ride a new 2012 model Stryker. So, no test rides on Sat., but hell, you CAN ride a bike because we will do you a favor and break the rules this one time, but you still cannot ride the motorcycle that you are really interested in buying… WOW again. At this point, it is clear that this is complete tomfoolery dealing with these guys. The manager basically implies that if we talk «numbers», then maybe I could ride the 2014 Stryker that I originally called about… WOW again. Just to wrap this up, I’ve been in the search for a new motorcycle only about 3 weeks now and these guys by far were the most unprofessional, sloppy looking and acting bunch I have ever seen.
Maybe they felt guilty and realized that this is no way to run a business, finally after being offered to ride the 2014 Stryker that I originally was interested in, I told them «Sorry, I will sleep on that offer and probably just go and spend my money elsewhere». If you can find somewhere else to spend your hard earned dollars, I recommend that you do that. Based on what I experienced today, these guys deserve to go out of business. I plan to contact Star Motorcycles and make them aware of the difficulties that I experienced at one of their dealers (Coleman) in doing a simple routine demo ride.

OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! I went there to get the tires on my 84 Magna 1100 balanced. They were on the bike and without so much as blinking the service department quoted me a price of $ 197.50. For a moment in time I could not speak because I was so shocked. To make matters worse they said it would take at least 4 days for them to get to it. I said thanks and got out of there with quickness. I took my bike to Brooks Cycle repair and they did it in 30 mins and charged me about $ 45.00. Coleman has gotten way too greedy as they think they have the monopoly on bike servicing in eastern Prince William County. Shop around and save some money by staying away from this place.

Took my Honda CRF50 to this place because it conked out on me and needed it repaired. After a week, I got a call and a $ 300 estimate to CLEAN THE CARBURETOR… I’m sorry @ $ 94/​hour for service, charging me 2 hours, plus a $ 53 diagnostic fee and $ 20+ for a new float ring is a bit ridiculous. I paid the $ 53 for the diagnostic fee and went and picked up my little dirt bike and took it right down the street to a LAWNMOWER business, «Potomac Mill Lawnmower» and they fixed it for $ 100 and the diagnostic fee went into the repair costs. SCREW COLEMAN POWERSPORTS, RIP OFF ARTISTS!!!

Bought my first bike from Coleman’s in woodbridge several years ago, paid cash and didnt have much issue. The price was a bit high, but I dealt with it.
fast forward to April when I’m buying a new bike, Coleman’s attempted to rake me over the coals with the price… Like 1500.00 over retail for the out the door price. Not to mention all the back and forth over the financing, which was to be honest the most messed up situation i have ever encountered financing anything. The wait times while «doing the deal» were ridiculous. They were not willing to budge but said they could get me into a cheaper bike for the price, I walked.
I gave another dealer about 20 miles away a call, he said he could kill that price and not only that… get the bike I wanted. I ended up going down and getting a great deal from the other dealer. Not to mention the fact they even beat the financing I currently had with my bank, saved me money and had me out the door in minutes with a quote i could live with.
I will never return to Coleman Powersports, for anything
