The Klubhouse

Looks like this place has closed down. Just FYI so people don’t go there like I did today.

Very disappointed, this is a third time I came here with kids and they are closed. I googled them and it says that they are open. The website is horrible, no schedule!!! I waisted my time coming here! They don’t know how to do business!!! Also phone doesn’t work, no one is answering. Would never recommend this place to anyone of my friends with kids… NEVER!!!

Where do I begin? The teenagers working knew nothing about the waiver they are asking parents to sign. I had questions, and the girl in her Woburn Tanners hoodie giggled and said I don’t know I have never read it. Two out of the three bathrooms did not have hand soap. It took asking more than twice to get hand soap in the bathrooms. The condition of the facility overall was deplorable. I knew that gong to an indoor public play place was not going to be the cleanest area I have ever taken my children but I did not expect conditions that made playing outside in a parking lot seem cleaner. I would be writing an e-​mail to The Klubhouse directly but they do not have an e-​mail on their contact me tab on their website. I would suggest that you hire people who you educate on the forms you are having the paying public sign. That you deeply sanitize your facility, the Lego table had at least a months worth of filth built up in it. You don’t need to be up close and personal to see the rock salt, dirt, food crumbs that are on those toys — a 6 – 8 foot distance is all you need. It screams of disgust. The Pirate Ship and Castle had nails that needed to be fully banged in, loose rails and boards. The bouncers need a good clean, maybe some soap and water and scrub them down with a hard bristled broom. We won’t be returning to The Klubhouse in Woburn, and we will be spreading the word about the poor workers, and disgusting conditions.

so, they moved locations (just next door) so i feel like i have to give them a new review. I love the couple that runs this place, they’re so accommodating. The new location is bigger and has a separate eating area with 4 or 5 large tables and chairs, it’s brighter, nicer, there are like 4 bathrooms and the kids have a lot of space to run around. We go here about 3x a month ;)

I took my two little charges there today & they had a lot of fun– on the go fo 2 hours.
This was during school vacation week (²⁄₁₃) and very buzy so one had to be mindful of the little ones. The staff was very friendly & accommading. Food had spilled on the floor and when I asked for the vac the woman promptly came and vac the whole area. I do think the race track should be repositioned as it seems to né the favorite – all in all great time, fine place

Brought the boys I nanny (5&7) and they were entertained for almost 3 hours. It was challenging at times, as little kids seemed to be everywhere, and this caused the boys to have to be extra careful with their running and jumping. It is too bad there is not open play later in the day, so older kids could go during nap time. But over all, it is great. A lot of people complain that there is no staff watching the kids, but the website does say it is like a playground where parents watch their own children. Cant blame them for lazy parents and nannies!

This place is the best! I am a nanny and my family pays for a membership so this winter we went almost every day! My kids never got bored and beg to come here.
The owners, a married couple, are so helpful and nice. They go out of their way to make the kids happy.
Since the staff is limited you do need to keep an eye on your own children, but who wouldn’t do that any way?
The whole area is kept SPOTLESS, which is hard when kids are running around with snacks! You always see the owner vacuuming and wiping things down with antibacterial wipes.
I highly recommend this place to any family that needs to get some energy out!

Just came from a 5 year old birthday party and have mixed reviews.
First the good — convenient location, plenty of parking, one party in the play room at one time, big rooms so the kids weren’t bumping into each other, lots to keep the kids entertained, well lit.
The not so great — the only time I saw a staff member was at the desk at check in and when they called the kids for a group picture before going to the party. I would have expected to see a bit more presence and structure.
All in all, the kids had fun and we may go back for another party, but I would NOT consider going to open hours since the staff seems uninterested and underprepared for larger groups.

I just went there for the first time last night for my grandson’s party. We were very pleased. The room is private for birthday parties. The staff was friendly and helpful. The play time alloted was just perfect. The couches were new and clean. And the pizza, cake and goodie bags were just fine. This beats anytime I have had with similar places (see giant rat chain). Where was this place when my kids were little! I was very surprised to see the negative reviews.

Have to agree 100% with Kristen C. This place is not clean at all and no staffing members inside. This will be a perfect place for an older kid who was never taught of consideration for other kids. Although its location is super convenient and the front desk person seemed very nice and helpful, will probably not return again.

My 5 yr old daughter had her birthday here. She and her friends had a blast. The pirate ship and its slides were a big hit as was were the racing cars. I found NIck really easy to work with over the phone. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cake room fit 21 kids and their parents.
We did bring our own ice cream and added a few treats to the gift bag
to enhance the experience for our guests. The cake was good and the
pizza was gone at the end of the party.
As for the couches, ½ of our parents stood and half sat. No one in our party mentioned them being scurvy, but then we were dressed to play.
Several of the moms said they liked it and would considered it as a cold day play spot.

One would think that the owners of an establishment should not be allowed to post their own reviews, right? Especially not by posing as customers who were thrilled with their experiences at said establishment.

I’ve had the unfortunate opportunity to experience this place. I was at a birthday party here and all of the adults stood around standing because none of them wanted to touch, let alone sit on the nasty couches they provide. There are many of them throughout the main room but each is covered with so many stains of unknown origin. You would likely want to burn your clothes if you dared to sit on any of them.
This place is for kids and kids are messy, I get it. But perhaps an alternative to seating that cannot be easily cleaned?
