I took my stroller here with fingers crossed, hoping Mike could fix it. In two days, he fixed the brakes, pumped up the tires, and fixed the folding mechanism that was jammed. His rate was SUPER reasonable and he was quick. I will definitely come back again and would refer any of my friends and family.

Mike is very knowledgeable. He could fix anything. His workshop is well equipped better than any bike repair shop i have been too. i had been complaining about the wobbly wheels and crank sets, and the breaks that stick to the wheels making moises, and many small details that’s been bothering me. A friend of mine recommended Mike. Watching him replace the bottom bracket of my old Trek Road Series with easy convinced me that he is the mechanic i have been looking for. I asked me to true the front wheel. Adjust the breaks. Adjust this and that… He made everything look so easy. Before i left his shop he said my bike should run faster. He was right. I feel like riding a brand new bike now. All ready for a few more century rides before snow fall thanks to him. Oh yes! The price was very reasonable.

This guy is amazing. He is super flexible, reasonablly priced and will assess the bike and tell you why he recommends a repair. He will also tell you stuff that you can do yourself to save you money. He’s worked on at least 5 of our bikes, from kids to adult sized. He’s my go-to man for any bike issues.

Went to Mike after finding information here at Unilocal.I took my daughters bike(a few year’s old Target Schwinn 15 speed quasi mountain bike), as I put on a new rear dérailleur but did not know how to adjust it properly, plus I had never had anyone go over the bike. Of course he was able to adjust the dérailleur right away, and then gave me an estimate for the balance of the job that I am assuming was reasonable compared to the formal bike shops. He called me back to say that the chain needed replacing and did so at a very fair rate. Since then, I tested it out and its been ridden a couple times, and its working great. Overall, I find Mike to be a great alternative to the big shops… he is personable and professional.

i originally found mike through craigslist. although I was first hesitant to bring my bike someplace other than a consumer bike shop to be fixed, I got a good recommendation from a buddy and brought my bike to mikes. Mike was very knowledgable, he let me know exactly what parts were failing on my old 80s mtn bike and let me know what my options were to fix the problems. I got my bike back on time and it rides like a dream. I would recommend this business to anyone looking to get their bike worked on and not pay pro bike shop fees.

Very nice and honest neighborhood bike shop with a wide selection of road and mountain bikes. Just bought a nice economical road bike and got a 30-day warranty on it.

Mike knows his stuff. I found him through CL and am overjoyed to have had him work on my bike. I visited his low-over head location. Dropped off my bike in the morning and a few hours later it was ready. I left him with the instructions to do everything he could to make my bike better. More comfortable, more efficient and a better ride. He changed the brakes, greased the internal workings of my drive-shaft. It’s a chainless bike. Although he had never worked on one before — He jumped right in. Greased the internal gear system. Found flaws in the breaking apparatus which he repaired. Made comfort suggests and is ordering parts to be installed on a return visit. He found flaws in the direction of the front tire and corrected it. He changed both the front and rear tubes in my tires and corrected some handle bar issues I had complained about. All of the above cost me less then $ 100. Elsewhere I would have walked in and gotten — See me in a week. And it’ll cost you $ 200+. Mike’s a pro. He’s seen it all and is in my humble opinion a rare bred of bike engineer. Zero attitude. Fairly priced. Great suggestions. Thoroughly approachable. Call ahead because he’s good he seems to have lots of bikers who trust him and rely on his expertise.

I brought my bike to Mike a while ago for a general tune-up. While he seemed knowledgeable, he inadvertently misplaced a part on my bike, and when he put it back together, it didn’t work right. He then tried to convince me that the lost part never existed, and the bike always had the problem. Even though when I brought it to him, it rode fine, if a bit out of tune. We ended up haggling a bit over it, and I paid him a bit more for the ‘extra” work, but not what he had asked for. I also did not get the bike back when he promised. I called him a few days after it was due to be completed to get an update, and he told me it was done but that he had lost my number, so obviously couldn’t call. I have since found an independent mechanic whose work I prefer. I didn’t have a great experience, and I doubt I will use him again. Update: Mike actually read this review, and emailed me, suggesting that I was never there and lying, and threatened to sue me! When I told him the story, and told him I still had the parts, probably with his fingerprints all over them, he went quiet, but he never apologized. I still have the parts in a plastic sealed bag, just in case, but I really don’t trust this guy.
