Once Shredded all paper is co-mingled with large volumes of various shredded documents making it impossible to reconstruct. It is then baled and recycled. Hard Drives are co-mingled and recycled.

History

Established in 2007.

Highland Shredding was established when Harry’s daughter was a victim of identity theft. Harry and his son, Phil, knew that this was a service that the general public needed. After Harry sold his printing company a few years prior, he knew he was ready for the next business endeavor with his son, Phil. Highland Shredding opened in its current location in 2007. Since then, Highland Shredding has grown exponentially. Starting out servicing just a handful of local businesses and residential clients, Highland Shredding has now grown into a preferred vendor for several state and federal government agencies as well as schools, hospitals, YMCA’s, doctors, lawyers, CPA’s and various other business both large and small. Highland Shredding has grown for just Harry and Phil to an office full of employees and several route representatives servicing Massachusetts while continuing to provide safe, reliable, on demand shredding to both residential and commercial customers at an affordable price

Harry has been in business for over 30 years. As a local business man, Harry knows the importance of providing great service for a fair price. Harry knows the value of his clients and maintaining good customer relations is of top priority. He is always available to answer an email or return a phone call. If he is not running his shredding business he can be found on the golf course supporting the community through volunteer work and local events or hanging out with his grandkids.

Very responsive. Started with a quote for drop off and only mentioned the more expensive mobile option when I asked. Could come within a few days and arrived right at the beginning of the promised time window. Driver was very professional in manner. –and very tolerant of greeting by a large Malamute! 10 boxes of old files and sensitive documents gone in a flash! I like supporting local businesses instead of big box chains. Highland fills the bill all around. I highly recommend.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Shredding is an expensive proposition and it’s really hard to find someone to do residential/small job shredding. Look no further, this company is amazing! My mother is elderly and in the process of moving to a senior community. She is one of those people who has saved every piece of paper she ever saw. Every bill, every canceled check, every bank statement – going back to the 70s! In today’s world that’s a big deal because there is a [expletive] waiting behind every dumpster ready to steal your identity. I was desperate to find some easy way to get rid of all this stuff. ENTER HIGHLAND SHREDDING AND HARRY PAICOPOLOS. I emailed late Wednesday night to get a quote and by Friday morning these guys were at the door exactly on time (a few minutes early actually) with their mobile shredding truck. They loaded bags and boxes of docs into the truck and let me watch on a little video display outside truck as all of the docs were pulverized. It was fabulous and the whole thing took about 10 minutes. The cost was $ 135 and was so convenient. We could have gone to their facility for less but to me this was worth it, i would have paid double what they charged. Also, for an extra $ 5 they took the hard drive from my mother’s old computer to destroy back at their facility. This is not only a very safe and economical way to get rid of stuff, it’s green too. Okay, I’m done. Just do it.

I’m a professional organizer and recently worked with a client in Cambridge with too much shredding to face doing it on her own (a few bankers boxes full) so we needed to find a commercial option. But she preferred to have on-site shredding rather than just a pick up of documents to be shredded somewhere else. Highland was great to work with; scheduling was really easy, and they were able to arrange a truck exactly for when we wanted it. They kept me posted on arrival time, arrived when they said they would, and they were in and out in a flash! I will definitely recommend them to other clients in the future.

After researching local shredding options and seeing the positive reviews on Unilocal,I gave Harry at Highland a call. He was very friendly and the drive to Woburn seemed a no-brainer. Everyone is very professional and you have the option to watch as your documents are securely shredded. Mary, who manages the office, could not have been nicer and Adam, Harry’s nephew who did the shredding, helped carry the heavy bags from my car. What a relief this has been.
Highland also does computer recycling and hard drive shredding, so I will most likely be returning for more «information destruction.»

I contacted Harry at Highland Shredding after making the decision that trying to shred 30 years worth of financial records on my Staples shredder was not time well spent. I contacted Harry Paicopolas at Highland Shredding who quoted me a price for his shredding services that I couldn’t refuse. His company is conveniently located in Woburn where you have a «ringside» view of the shredding process through a rather large window that overlooks the factory floor where his shredding machines are located. I was quite concerned that any shredding process would be done efficiently and confidentially. This window provided me with exactly that security. I would highly recommend Harry for anyone interested in doing personal or professional shredding. You will not be disappointed!

This place is GREAT! I had 40 pounds of paper — over ten years worth of financial records — and that was NEVER going to be done with my teeny, tiny shredder. I ran a search for personal shredding and came up with three places. One was too far away, another was also in Woburn but was not NAID-certified (very important, look it up). Neither would do my shredding immediately.
When I found Highland Shredding’s website, I sent owner Harry Paicopolos an e-mail for an estimate. He got back to me quickly with a rate that EASILY beat the other two. When I got to the facility, I was even more impressed with the fact that he asked if I wanted it done while I waited, which I was thrilled with. He built the secure facility with a window and a camera and monitor so you can actually sit there and watch your documents being pulverized! It was AMAZING to see how 40 pounds of paper completely filled up an industrial-sized laundry bin. It took him all of maybe eight minutes to make my papers go bye-bye. Hell, I was so impressed I even tipped him!
Harry is a really nice guy who started this business after his daughter’s identity was stolen ten years ago. From the bins and bins full of paper business is good — as it should be. It’s more important now that ever to make sure your documents don’t fall into the wrong hands. Most shredding places around here concentrate on corporate accounts. Thanks, Harry, for providing a great service EVERYONE can AND should take advantage of!

Highland Shredding is WONDERFUL. My medium sized company had to shut down due to Financial problems. We had alot of confidential documents that we didn’t know what to do with. I called Highland Shredding of Woburn, MA. I have to say how pleased I am with there services. They physically came to the office, picked up all of the documents and mailed us proof that the shredding had been done and disposed of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
