History
Established in 1956.
Colonial Package Store, Inc. was founded in 1956 by Charles «Lucky» Ryan, Al Franson, and Earl Bane. Colonial Package was, and continues to be, a staple in the 4-Corners area of Woburn, Massachusetts.
Today Colonial is still family owned and operated by life-long Woburn residents David Ryan, son of the late Charles «Lucky» Ryan, and David’s wife Lisa Ryan (formally Cannon). The stores are managed by David and Lisa’s son David Ryan Jr., nephew Jimmy Ryan, and Tommy McLaughlin.
Colonial Package stores are located in Woburn at the original site —
3 Russell Street — and an additional location at 300 Mishawum Road (Woburn Mall Outparcel).
