Specialties

Our fudge and other homemade candies are cooked in copper kettles, and our fudge is hand poured and mixed on special tables to produce the smoothest, creamiest fudge you will ever taste. Our chocolate centers are made from scratch and then hand coated in creamy pure chocolate. Our caramel apples are dipped in our special preservative free caramel recipe and then topped with freshly roasted nuts, chocolate, or other delicious toppings. Our brittle, crunches, and caramel corn varieties are made in small batches to slow roast the nuts and infuse their flavor into the candy. We hand pull our brittle as thin as we can so it’s easier to chew.

All of our homemade confections are made without preservatives to extend shelf life and are hand wrapped and packaged. Everything comes fresh to you from our kitchen to your doorstep.

We additionally offer house coffee drinks including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes and much more along with chai and other teas all available hot or iced.

Business Owner

I am the second generation owner having worked here since the age of 14. I have learned all the aspects of the candy business from my Father who opened the store in 1962. One of my favorite things is coming up with new recipes to share with our customers. We currently offer over 30 flavors of fudge to mix and match. One little known fact about us is that we exhibited at the 1964 – 65 World’s Fair in New York City in the Wisconsin Pavilion. We made our creamy fudge recipe using the high quality dairy products from Wisconsin which we continue to use today. We know we wouldn’t be in business after 50 years if it weren’t for our loyal customers. Thank you from all of us… we appreciate your business!

It’s the Dells. There are many fudge shops that all proclaim they are the «original». Is this place the original? I have no clue but I do know that I am a creature of habit and always stop in if I find myself in the Dells (surrounded by day glow shirts and horrific tattoos). The fudge is always delicious and enough different flavors to keep me coming back. Word of advice… a small amount of fudge goes a long way so order less than you think and save yourself the ensuing regret that comes with ingesting a daily amount of calories in one sitting.

Now that I’ve finished my piece of Milk Chocolate English Toffee… MAN! That was good!
The fudge is equally delicious and right now on my counter I have quarter-​pound samples of four different kinds, including pistachio and dark chocolate nut. The working out I have to do to burn off the carbs will be worth it!
Our visit to the shop had samples of pistachio fudge and fresh peanut brittle by the door and overlooking the candy-​making area (there were also bigger sample sizes available for purchase near the register). I believe the day we were there they had over 31 flavors of fudge so it’s not easy to pick out what you want, but you’ll definitely find something.
Then of course, there are the brittles, the bulk salt water taffy and the hand-​dipped chocolates not to mention all of the pre-​packaged candies that they sell like candy buttons, etc.
I believe that it’s in the Rule Book that when in the Dells you need to stop for fudge, and this is a great place to stop!

No samples of fudge? Are you kidding me?
The strict «no sample» policy really turned me off from buying more fudge. I did purchase the smallest size of their cake batter confetti fudge, how could you go wrong with fudge that tastes like cake? It was good but wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. I think I got a little spoiled by the deliciousness that is Mackinac Island fudge.
There were some other treats for sale as well. I picked up some yummy marshmallow caramels which kinda made up for the «no sample» policy.
Seriously, I can’t get over that!

Right next to Monk’s on the strip this is the place that smells good all summer. Watch a fudge or brittle making demo. Eat scraps as samples. BUY FUDGE!
They make all sorts of brittles and have loads of classic candies (don’t miss the apothecary jars of striped sticks) including bins upon bins of salt water taffy but their fudge is the best in the Dells hands down. And they sell by the quarter pound. Lots of shops in the area won’t go smaller than a half. Or at least that is the way it was between ’85 and ’07. Haven’t been recently but I doubt its changed.
Tons of flavors come foil wrapped in boxes with teeny tiny plastic knives. Classics like penuche nut, maple and dark chocolate done right. Interesting marbles like crème de mint and ammareto. My brothers were crazy for New York Cherry and I can not pass by the Rocky Road.
This place is a super cute all white-​washed rough barn board interior with great customer service. Yep, in the Dells. This was one of the only places I can recall on Broadway that had returning help from year to year.

Why do I love this place? Because even though I live 250 miles away they treat me like I am a regular customer. I signed up for their mailing list about 5 years ago and every year they send me a catalog. Ok a catalog I am sure you are thinking Big Deal. Most times about 10 – 30 days after I recieve the catalog they called me to see if there was anything I might want to order! Of course I had to order something! This really impressed me. Oh did I mention that their fudge is out of this world! I think that this may be the best in the Dells! I dare you to prove me wrong
