Vertical Illusions

Awesome place! I rented skis from here today and was so pleased! Not only was the service friendly and knowledgable, but the quality of the skis were so much better than those rented at the ski hill, even for a lower price. If I come back skiing in the area, I’ll definitely rent from here again.

So glad we were talked into going here. The zip lining was amazing. Our instructor Justin really put us at ease when we started out which helped us have a great time! We enjoyed going tree to tree and seeing new sites! What an awesome experience with the snow frosted trees!
Be prepared with gloves though! We forgot to bring ours to Wisconsin and I got a bit cold on some parts!
Highly recommend this place. We even got some pictures to take back with us!

Kayak tour well worth it. Informative narration during tour. First class equipment. Owner is passionate about what he does. We took two kayak tours and thoroughly enjoyed them. You can’t go wrong here.

My husband and I tried ziplining for the first time with Vertical Illusions. We didn’t know what to expect, but our guides made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The experience was very personal, not overly commercialized or «touristy,» and it was relaxing, inspiring and exhilarating all at the same time. Totally worth the money, and we can’t wait to go again.

Far and away the best!
So far, I’ve kayaked, rock climbed, and ice climbed (twice) with VI, and have a zip line outing booked for next weekend. The trips are one-​on-​one, so its only you and your group with the VI team, and you really feel like you’re out with friends. You can tell they live the lifestyle, but they’re not condescending or anything if you’re new to any activity — they just want to share the adventure with you and see you have fun! They’re not the cheapest outfitter in the area, but I’ve done things with them that I’m pretty sure no other outfitter could show you! I’ve tried rock climbing with others, and would definitely pay the extra dollars to get the one-​on-​one attention VI gives you. Absolutely worth the money.
Not only are they a blast to hang out with, they’re extremely active in the Dells community, helping to organize the Dells Riverfest races, and clearly care about the preservation of the natural landscape, instead of seeing the Dells become overridden with theme parks and its history lost.
If I could give them a thousand stars, I would!

I had such a great time rock climbing this weekend. Our guide was great dealing with my group of rather inexperienced climbers. We were able to climb a relatively easy cliff and a more challenging face. Next month, we plan to come back to do a rock climb and either a kayak or treetop zip line excursion.
