Thunderbird Resort

This place was great! We stayed for 3 nights in July 2015 in a first floor 2 BR 2 Bath condo, which was big enough for our family of 6 (4 kids ages 10, 8, 6 and 4). The condo was very nicely updated and extremely clean. We were given passes to Chula Vista waterpark for our entire stay (although Chula Vista isn’t the greatest). We had our own private deck with a table and chairs and a large picnic table. We were steps away from the lake, which we really enjoy swimming in because the water is always nice and warm. They provided lifejackets in variuos sizes for using in the lake and on the boats (canoes and pedalboats). Their indoor pool area was nice also, and we had it to ourselves when we went for a swim. We grilled steaks and hotdogs every night, with beautiful views of the lake right outside our door. Every time we come to the Dells we stay on the lake. This is our fourth resort we have tried and we definitely found a keeper! We also had our own fire pit with chairs and made bonfires and smores with firewood that was purchased down the road. The condo had a full kitchen and 2 full baths, which was nice for all 4 kids to quickly take showers. My only complaint is the bed. I usually don’t have an issue with hotel beds, but this bed was very uncomfortable. I couldn’t fall asleep the first night because of how hard the bed was. But I got used to it by the third night (although they really should upgrade the mattresses). Overall we had an excellent time and will definitely be back.
