History

Established in 2011.

Newkirk Inn was established at a time when there was an economic need. In other words, I was out of work for three years and needed a job before the bank took the house. So began some major renovations in order to become a hotel. Also installed was a sprinkler system as required by the lovely State of Maine.

The doors opened in May of 2011 and we have been working hard to earn your business ever since. We are the only accomodation open year round in Wiscasset where you can get a room with out a reservation, provided there is one available.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Northern New Jersey and started family vacations in Maine in 1971 on Southport Island. Spent 30 plus years in the horticulture field. Moved to Maine in 2006. Small concert promoter 2008 – 2010. Opened the Newkirk Inn 2011. Chamber of Commerce president in 2011.
