Wow I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff are friendly and professional. They gave me an honest opinion that the problem with my car had resolved itself, so I wasn’t charged for their services. I highly highly doubt you would find that honestly and service anywhere else.
Winthrop is an area that has quite a few options for auto repair. I would recommend this place over anywhere else. This is my new go to auto mechanic!

Finding a GOOD Mechanic is like finding a GOOD Dentist now a days, I should know. I’m a Dental Hygienist.
Honesty, is ALWAYS the best policy here. Hands down, Jimmy and his team including the amazing Kevin– give it to you straight. They won’t tell you about all the crap that your car doesn’t need like «Sullivan Tire». They are honest Abe’s of the Mechanic Industry and you just don’t find that anymore.

Heard some good reviews on Expert Auto. Had a starter issue and scheduled a time for it to be replaced. Expected to be without a car all day, they were done in less then 2 hours. Reasonable prices, very nice guys. They clearly want to keep customers and they appear to run a great, honest mechanic business. Very impressed!

I moved out of Winthrop 2 years ago and STILL trek out to Expert for my cars maintenance and repairs. They’re honest, fair, knowledgeable and work pretty quick too. No complaints about these guys.

Okay so don’t get thrown off by the slightly rough/​unfriendly voice/​responses of Kevin when he answers your questions over the phone. In person, he and every other person at Expert is extremely sweet and helpful. As another reviewer stated, they are completely upfront about pricing and are really willing to do anything in their power to keep their customers happy. I’m not from here originally and don’t really know many people in the area to get recommendations for this type of thing, so it’s really nice to have a place I can trust. They do good, quick work. I do wish their pricing on an oil change was a little less ($ 30), but beggars can’t be choosers! I will continue to come here for all of my vehicle maintenance and repair needs! Thanks Expert!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone saying «I think I need this expensive thing done» only to be told, «no, what you need is much cheaper.» And I always leave with a working car. Simply put they are honest mechanics, which isn’t always the easiest thing to find. I’ve been going to them for 15 years.

These guys are hands-​down some of the best people let alone repair shops. Every time I have brought my car in, they have been helpful, honest and efficient. They go out of their way to help and are up front about pricing. I am so glad that I live near them but would still use them even if I moved away.
