YOURE HIRED! Man I don’t know where to start. This reply is based on several times using this repair shop. On a side note I do everything myself on my vehicles and rue going to any shop knowing they are going to burn me for labor and marked up parts. First, I had my 94 Wrangler at a shop right next door to the shop I manage I’ll not name. For two days with no brake lights, For 3hrs the first day with one tech, and 5hrs the second with two techs no resolve. I had already ran a voltage meter myself up and down the wiring harness and checked all connections and towing hook ups and grounds. Had power everywhere. SO! I jumped off the deep end and took it to Tom at express and dropped it off with him saying «I’ll tell you whats wrong within the hr» I thanked him and took a deep breath walking out. Well, he called me in 45 min and told me he found the problem and it would be 50 bucks! I held me calm and tried not to scream. I had no stopping signals for 4 days and took the entire dash apart tracing wires. The hazard switch had went bad that I must have pushed in detailing that grounded the brake lights out thus causing the problem. So, the second event came. The first time my wife came with me with my 12 yr old and her buddy to Jeeptoberfest. After mad trail riding through an insane course just leaving Jeeptoberfest it started to sputter under throttle. Not to make this to long yet again it was next door to my shop because we don’t scan cars. I was told it was my crank position sensor and with my discount it would be 199 $ installed. I thanked my buddy and got one for $ 67 and put it in. Same problem. So after running new gas lines, fuel filter, wires, dist cap rotor, plugs that night up to 130 after a super long day I did it all myself and went to bed. SAME thing in the morning as soon as it started up and got warm. So I bit the bullet and sputtered it to Toms. (on a side note I had done everything I know even taking the muffler off running full straight pipe one day with the tech telling me the Cat was clogged up with me knowing there was no cat just the muffler) So I took the muffler off and ran straight just in case the muffler was clogged. And I told him everything I did and he told me he would tell me whats was wrong in an hr or so. SO! A few hrs later he called me (there was three cars ahead of me) And it was the fuel pump! For the love of everything I asked if my «Buddy» next door to me checked the pressure and he said he did. I didn’t want to but a fuel pressure Gage because I didn’t want to spend the money for a one time use. So after a long ride home yet Tom again hit me with the resolve. Now I did pay for labor, but not dealer rate and I was happy to pay it. Went way past the mad state I was in not knowing what was wrong with my jeep. This guy is spot on and anything I cant do myself, I’ll be sending to him.
