Maui B’s Paddle Board in Orlando

Scotty B took my friends and I out for our very first time on stand up paddle boards a few years ago. (We certainly ranged in skill level but all had an amazing time) I immediately signed on for private lessons and took my first romp out on the ocean. I felt safe and confident the entire time with truly skilled guidance from Scotty.
I know a ton Of men and ladies that can surf, but really takes a special person to have the patience to teach. I just SUP’d and surfed on a vacation all by myself in Mexico. I have you to thank Scotty… Thank you for being excellent at your craft.

I love Maui B’s! Scotty is so nice, friendly and knowledgable. He doesn’t make you feel bad about yourself when you repeatedly fall into the lake off your paddle board. He takes pictures of you with his own camera, then adds you on Facebook and Tags you in the pictures, since if you had a camera, it would have been at the bottom of the lake.
My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun paddle boarding with Scotty and we always talk about how we want to try it again.
We found this over Groupon, and came on a date. This was a really cool date idea, totally different from dinner and a movie, and significantly more memorable.
I would recommend Maui B’s Paddle Boarding to absolutely anyone.

Maui B’s is the best! I absolutely had the BEST time learning SUP. He is a great teacher and so helpful and encouraging. I HIGHLY recommend that if you want to go as a beginner or as an expert Maui B is the one to go to. They even have fun fitness on the SUP boards in the lake too. Super flexible with times as well.

Two of us went out on paddleboards with Maui B’s on Lake Ivanhoe and had a blast — Scotty was very friendly and helpful and made our experience a memorable one!

I LOVE MAUI B’S! Scotty is safe, knowledgeable and professional. He was on time. From the moment I made an inquiry about the boards, he was communicative and clear about what we should expect. he sent parking instructions and he brought a camera so we could wouldn’t have to worry about our stuff.
He also provided excellent tips to improve my skills and enjoyment. Very encouraging and stayed positive throughout the trip.
SUP is great for fitness! Fun and wakes up the muscles.

The lake was Perfect if you love being in nature and need a nudge for getting outside. I wish I could go everyday!

This past summer, we purchased a paddleboard and watched every UTube video out there to «learn» how to use it. It wasn’t until my husband and I went on vacation in Orlando in Jan. 2013 that we REALLY learned the proper and safe way to paddleboard with Scott at Maui B’s!
We now realize that we were really fortunate to have found his company on line, and to have had our lessons from Scott. Pretty out of shape, we started slowly, and Scott made us get our «sea legs» by becoming comfy with the board in the shallows of Ivanhoe Lake first. Even though my husband has terrible knees, he was able to paddle all the way out to the bridge confidently. I was a little shaky and fell off the board, but after Scott showed me the way to get back on, I was able to complete a successful ride. His calming way and people skills, coupled with his total knowledge and board control made us KNOW we were learning from an expert who had lots of experience not only with the sport, but with many personalities and levels of learners.
I can’t tell you how exhilarating it is to stand up on a paddleboard and take off on the water; it’s magic! Scott taught us how to balance, turn, and stop. He taught us proper paddling techniques, arm positions, and tips and tricks to balance and recover. The best thing he gave us was confidence that we could really do it — and we did! We plan to take our families back for lessons when we return to Orlando next year. Take it from two city slickers from Chicago — Maui B’s is the only way to go!

Scotty & company were great to learn from. They explained everything clearly and simply. They showed us different ways to stand and even threw in a few fitness exercises. Being out on the lake was lots of fun and a great workout. We will definitely do this again!

I had been wanting to try Stand up Paddleboarding for a while when I found a daily deal for Maui B’s! I’m soooo glad I waited and went with Scotty. I took my 10 year old daughter with me on my first lesson and he was wonderful with both of us. He was so super patient and fun with my daughter that I took my 5 year old daughter a few weeks later. We’ll never use another Paddleboard company in this area!

I went with a group of friends to the Paddle Board beginner lesson. A really neat and new experience to try out. None of us were particularly athletic nor had done any type of water sport and there were no casualties (ie no one fell in the water)! Scott is very helpful and encouraging; you can tell he really loves what he does.

I went paddleboarding for the first time today and LOVED it! Two of my girlfriends and I signed up for an hour session on Lake Ivanhoe in downtown Orlando. You get an awesome full body workout while enjoying the sun. Rentals are available in multiple locations, including Lake Butler in Windermere, where we are planning our next paddleboarding experience.
Scotty and his colleague were great. As first timers, they helped us into the water and then let us loose. Scotty told us about the eco-​tours that they offer– can’t wait until they’re in-​season.
