History

Established in 2013.

Lafayette & Rushford Home was first known as Mistletoe House beginning in the 1990’s as a holiday decorating service in Dunedin, Florida. Eventually the demand for a brick and mortar store grew large enough to open Mistletoe House in 2005. After three successful years the store grew in size, expanded its product line, and became Lafayette & Rushford Home. In 2013, L&R Home opened its second location in Winter Park, Florida near Orlando.

The name represents the two owners’ home towns: Linda Painter from Lafayette, IN and Rick Davies from Rushford, NY. Both are small town people with a cosmopolitan design sensibility. Creativity and ingenuity are at the foundation of every season’s designs.
