History

Established in 2012.

Our Winter Haven law firm was founded when Attorneys Christopher Roy and Michael Amico decided to merge their successful individual firms. With over 22 years of legal experience between the two, it was apparent that the interests of their current and future clients are best served together. The team met in law school on the first day of orientation, graduated and passed the Bar on their first attempt and began practicing law in Polk County. A few years later they met sisters who would become their wives. Christopher continued to practice in Winter Haven, while Michael moved to the Hernando County to be near the Gulf of Mexico. Desiring to be closer to family and merge his practice, Michael and his wife returned to Winter Haven. Today, Roy & Amico is a Winter Haven Law Firm focusing on family and criminal law.

Michael came to Florida in 1997 and like many never left. After graduating from Emory University, he attended Nova Southeastern Law School. Litigating cases from Panama City to Key West has afforded Michael an unsurpassed knowledge of the various courtrooms in Florida. An accomplished litigator, Michael has handled the most serious cases including murder and sex crime defense. He is aggressive and fights for his clients interests after others have given up.
