Ward Elementary School

I enjoy how secure they have made this elementary school not only by setting it back from the busy traffic of Stratford Rd, but also what can be tedious to navigate, is also a great plan for the car rider line. It seemed at first like I was going in a maze and winding back and forth, yet never getting to the front of the school, but this is to prevent cars from skipping the line and also children from bolting in parking lot. They have minimum of 2 – 3 teachers on duty for loading and unloading the kids and also you have to have not only the placard with the right student bad on your dash, but they also change colors each year and grade! The playground also has a double fence near the cars so no escapees run into traffic! The school interior is very easy to navigate and also very clean! The kids can eat outdoors at shaded tables to get fresh air and still be in a safe courtyard area. I also love that you have to buzz in to go inside and not just walk into the school!
