Luna Lounge & Tiki Bar

Luna Lounge is hardcore! Had a blast here! Of course it was stop #4 (or was it 5) on a bar crawl.
The super cute lady bartenders make some tall, boozy drinks. Not only do they taste great but they’re cheap. Only $ 4 a pop for a pint glass full of high octane fruity goodness!
I was there maybe five minutes and this hardcore thrash punk band from NJ started to play — on a stage — six feet from me. Talk about good seats. As I’m far too old to join a mosh pit (twenty years ago was a different story), I finished my drink and moved on.
Jukebox, pool table, lives bands of all musical genres and even comedy. Very chill place!
This place is a real dive, and I mean that in the best sense of the word!

Love this bar and the people in it! The laid back atmosphere and the island inspired drinks really makes it a special place to hang out.

Came here with a couple of friends to get a drink. It’s got a Portland feel to it and I say that because of the hippyish décor. The bartender did a good job of mixing the drinks but I can’t comment on anything else besides for that. They do run specials on beer and other drinks but It’s exactly just that (just drinks).

Love this little gem in Winston’s art district. Private club but just pay a membership fee and you are in! Vicki the owner has created a space that makes you feel you are miles away from Winston Salem. Tiki drinks are a must when you visit, especially the pain killer and zombie. Recently they have extended and offer a second bar in the back for a more private area. Bartenders are always happy and pleasant to keep with the relaxed vibes. Tiki bar is also available for private parties!

Sweet atmosphere and awesome island-​inspired drinks! They don’t have food, but their drinks are delicious. Make sure to try the guava colada. They have pool and two levels, so there is plenty of space to spread out.

Yes, this place is GREAT! Great Ambiance, Great Drink, Great Bartender, Great Owner, Great Location, and Great Price! Can’t ask for more!!!

Such a cool place. Lounge and exotica oozes out the speakers. The Zombie massages the brain. Good thing I don’t live close by.

A Tiki bar in Winston-​Salem??? Yep! We had a great time here a few nights ago. It was pretty slow when we got there with one couple drinking on the outside patio and another gentleman drinking a Red Stripe at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and seemed to love conversation about almost every subject. The inside was definitely a little cliché and cheesy but that only adds to the fun! We tried several drinks while there, including the Singapore Sling and the Zombie. the star drink for the night however was the guava colada, cold, creamy, and fruity-​licious!
While there we met a nice young couple from the UK that had just graduated from Wake Forest Law School. Had one of the best conversations in a long while that night.
Also when my wife went to leave a tip, she evidently dropped her bank card. After looking for it for a better part of 3 hours she got a message on Instagram from the bar informing her that they had her card. (And there are those of you who wonder about the value of checking into places on social media! That was the only way they knew we were there, as the owner even recognized us by our picture on her instagram account before we even left the bar!)

Not so crowded but a great bar, everyone is very nice and friendly. A great place to come with a group of friends, better for a pregame or a place to hangout after a nice dinner. They have good deals on drinks and one pool table.

The staff was very friendly! I enjoyed the Painkiller cocktail. But the real star of the night was the pickleback shot, which was a shot of whiskey chased by a shot of pickle juice. It was so delicious! I’ll be back :)

What a little gem this place is! We happened on Luna Lounge after walking around the Sunday Arts festival in downtown Winston-​Salem. The décor and ambiance are so festive and fun it just invites you to stroll in for a mai tai or other tropical tipple.
We were the first customers of the day and were promptly welcomed. The music selections were on point, ranging from psychedelic funk, to pacific, to late 70s rock n roll. The juke box also has some choice grooves if you want to take a turn at choosing the music.
The bar tender offered up her favorite concoction, a bloody pirate — I had two. She offers wonderfully heavy pours balanced with just the right amount of fresh juice, all topped with the cheeriest little tiki umbrella. I felt just like I was transported back to a 1950s luau for an hour. Can’t wait to visit again!

Trader Vics comes to Winston-​Salem. Fun atmosphere. Sweet and boozy drinks. Cheap beer specials.
Music not so loud that you can’t talk. Smoking area out front. Pool table in the back. Nice addition to Trade Street. Will come here when Single Brothers gets too loud, crowded, and young.
