I bought a lovely Swiss watch at this Jared’s in July of 2014. One month later, it needed a new battery, a minor hassle, but complementary. No big deal. 16 months later, it needed a battery again – surprising, but no big deal. Except it was near the holidays, so I had to leave it to be fixed. They called me the next day and told me that they had replaced the battery, but they could not get the back on because they«did not have the right tool.» What??? They gave it to me with the watch taped together with scotch tape. They told me to take it to the watch guy in the mall – where I should have gone in the first place. The watch guy in the mall takes one look at it and says, «Look, they damaged the gasket when they took the back off. You need a new gasket.» I called to speak with the manager, and he was incredibly rude and said the only thing they could do would be to mail the watch away to be fixed. For a battery. Never. Again.

This Jared’s is in a good location, on the corner of Stratford and Hanes mall blvd. The first time I ever went here I was upset from the way their sister company had treated me and wanted their help to switch over warranty paperwork. I had such a great experience that I my husband and I bought our wedding bands here. Subsequently, my husband goes back often to get pandora gifts for me. He says they treat him very well but there’s always the occasional up-selling of other items. All in all, I am very pleased with all of my purchases from here and the associates are typically nice, helpful and inviting.
