Absolutely stellar work! I just had my wedding dress altered here and I’m so happy that I did! (When I say altered, I mean he pretty much made me a new dress lol) I bought an A-​line, floor length sleeveless dress that was 4 sizes too big because it was a great deal and it had the capability to be what I wanted. He altered it to my size, removed the restrictive boning, cut it to tea length for me, reset the zipper perfectly and added flutter sleeves as well… all for a reasonable price. When I came in yesterday to pick it up (less than 2 weeks after I dropped it off, I might add), I brought my shoes so that I could try on everything together. My shoes are the kind that you tie together into cute little bows and the ribbons that they came with were not the right color. The owner made me new ribbons out of the material he had cut off the bottom and now my shoes match the dress perfectly! I seriously can’t say enough about this place. Anytime that I am in need of alterations for anything going forward, I will definitely come here! :)

This is my favorite place to make alterations to my pants and shirts. The quality of work is almost second to none. I have used their service over 6 times the past 3 months from suits to shirts to jeans to dress pants. Their service is reasonable priced. The Taylor is cordial, respectful and very professional. I have nothing but smiles every time I get my cloths altered there.

I needed my bridesmaids dress altered and came here. The gentleman that helped me was amazing. The dress I ordered from a boutique in VA was not ordered correctly for the way the dress was supposed to fit and he had to completely rebuild my dress. It had to be let out then I came back to make the proper alterations to the top and hem it. They were able to do all of this in about 2 weeks and it turned out beautiful. Every intricate details of the bodice still in tact just as it was when it came from the designer. He even calmed me down and gave me a tissue when I found out my over $ 200 dress was going to need to be completely rebuilt and cried in the middle of his shop! Fantastic customer service!

My neice is graduating High School and so I needed to get my suit tailored and pants taken in some. So I went in and they had me try the suit on and then made recommendations for what I should have done for it. When I picked up the suit it fit perfectly. The main guy even remembered me and grabbed the suit from the back to bring to me even before I said a word to him.

My number one choice for alterations in Winston Salem. The staff is knowledgable and friendly with a keen eye for design and fashion. I have had a winter pea coat and multiple dress shirts tailored here, the garments always come back comfortable and form fitting. Turn around times are fantastic, and always accommodating to busy schedules. Will return soon, and highly recommend to my friends and family.

Great service. The location was a little hard to find at first and I was a little skeptical. But I gave them my prom dress on Monday and I didn’t have the money so I said I’ll bring it back tomorrow. They asked when do I need the dress by and I told them Friday would be great. I went back the next day to pay and they already had the dress done. So over all they get five stars for super fast service and Excellent work done.

Great service and great prices. Reda altered 5 pairs of work pants that now feel like they were custom made to fit me. I was promised that they would all be done in two days since I explained to him that I didn’t have many others and he delivered on that promise and had my items done in that time. Reda is also a very pleasant person to deal with as well. I will definitely be bringing anything else that I need altered to him.

Great service with an even better turnaround time. I went in at 8pm on a Monday and they had my pants hemmed and wait extended the next day. They really came through in the clutch.
Prices were a bit high but I needed it fast.

Went in on short notice to get 2 dressed hemmed and taken in because it was close to my house. Before leaving, she told me the price and it was 2 – 3 times MORE expensive than ANY alterations place I’ve ever been to. I made mention of the extreme price and she lowered it by $ 20 (still at an $ 85 tab!) and she said «you will not be disappointed with our work.» When I came to pick up my dresses, one dress had some loose stitches and the seams were not completely approximated, so I was really upset, because if their work was SO great and they charged so much, THIS should not have been overlooked. I showed her the stitching and asked if it would come loose, and she said she would fix by hand right there, but no mention of deducting anything off the price. I WILL NOT be going back to this establishment to get any alterations done because I can get just as good of quality for more than HALF the price somewhere else!

They do beautiful work, but they’re too pricey — hence the 4 stars. It cost $ 25 to hem a jersey knit dress. The cost of the alteration was slightly less than I paid for the dress on sale. My grandmother was a pattern and sample maker for Anne Klein many, many years ago before US work was given to China, so I have come to know great work and am familiar with the time it takes to hem, etc. $ 25 is more than I want to pay. So, I’ll be looking for a new tailor.

Reda has done 8 pants for me and 4 shirts. Everything has fit excellent and I would highly recommend him. Excellent quality work at prices that don’t break the bank!

I brought several items to A-​Z based on the positive review I read here and was sorely disappointed with the service I received. I asked him to hem a blouse for me and he took the liberty of adding a hideous ruffle effect to the bottom, effectively ruining the top. A second blouse was altered in a manner completely unlike we had discussed, and he returned my sweater with a hole in it. When I brought these issues to his attention, his response was appalling – despite my approaching him politely about the problems, he angrily denied any fault and blamed me for everything.
Save yourself.

I have been going to A-​Z for a few years now and have always received great service! Reda Lotfy has tailored dresses and slacks for me and altered my husband’s suit to fit him perfectly. He really knows how to work with fabric and always does an amazing job! He always has things ready in a timely manor and has very reasonable pricing.
