Econo Lodge

A rather run down and poorly maintained hotel. We also arrived to discover the pool and spa were closed for maintenance. That was rather disappointimg in the middle of the summer. Although the room was spacious, the bathroom was very tiny and poorly ventilated. Also, there were hairs in the shower, so cleanliness is questionable. When we arrived the fridge wasn’t working. I spoke to the front desk about it, and their first response was to disagree with me and say it was not broken and just needed the plug put in all the way. After assuring them that we had checked that, they did get another one for us.

Rooms are spacious, well maintained and reasonably priced.
Free breakfast is what you expect, location is good for getting out of town fast. Hotel has no elevator so if you cant take the stairs make sure to ask for a first floor room.

The absolute worst place to stay. The owners lost the reservations for everybody in the group I was traveling with. They then tried to charge us $ 150 a night for this dump. No hot water, the microwave didn’t work. The key card wouldn’t open the side door. When we asked for water they pointed to a drinking fountain. The vending machines were empty. The first room they took us to was used and they said «oh we must have forgotten to clean it». I would suggest sleeping in your car before going here. Hands down worst hotel ever and the rudest employees! If they don’t want to run a business the right way they should shut down. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t shut them down. DO NOT STAY HERE! I can promise the «good» reviews are only being written by the owner and staff.

The front desk man is the most awesome thing about this Econo Lodge. He is super nice, very helpful and friendly. I’ve been at a lot of hotels and this is the nicest front-​desk person I’ve ever met. The rooms are clean, everything worked well. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m passing through! Breakfast is the standard: waffles, cereal, toast, a few different pastries, orange juice, coffee, tea.

Stayed here as we were passing through. The front desk man was very nice and talkative and took about 5 mins to find me the best rate he could with AAA that actually beat the rate I had found online by a couple bucks. The parking lot is a little tight for larger vehicles but overall is not a major issue. The location being right off the interstate is nice for those who are simply traveling through.
Our room was clean, and featured a flat panel TV with directv access. The wifi was somewhat slow but overall it was on par with most other hotels. The towels and linens are not of high quality, but that is expected for a hotel in this price range. The room was extremely quiet — never heard any outside noise whatsoever. Keep in mind this is a $ 45/​night room — not a 4 star resort. For the money, and a place to stay while passing through, I think this is by far the best value in Winslow.
The breakfast was small and super simple. The hot breakfast consisted of make your own Belgian waffles and some sausage links. The cold breakfast had all of the normal cheap hotel staples: bread, bagels, donuts, bananas, coffee, and raisin bran with milk. The also had orange juice as a beverage. The breakfast was nothing spectacular, but again, for a $ 45/​night room, you shouldn’t be expecting anything spectacular. It was a decent breakfast that helped avoid having to make one more stop in the morning. I would rate it as sufficient.
If I am ever passing through Winslow again and need a room for the night, I will look no further than this place.

The front desk person was very rude. The room was not very nice. Got my money back and went to stay elsewhere.

Not a bad place to stay for the night. The halls do smell of smoke but the rooms do not. Rooms are a little outdated but it is a small town so that was expected. Indoor pool and spa were ok, definitely needs renovation but the spa after a long drive was great. Parking lot is visible from rooms which I thought was great. There is nothing around that area for eating so you will have to drive to grab some food.
–security needs to be looked at though. When you enter the side to get to the stairs for the rooms, there is no window so anyone can get through there. Not to mention, the door which should need a key to enter, is just a door anyone can open and get in.

We had a group of three and the hotel actually offered three double beds and had free secure wifi with a decent tv.
The hotel is all indoors and the hallway smells like smoke. A lot of parking and an indoor pool.
Not a lot in the surrounding area and some shady people hung around out front but not much the hotel can do about that.
Breakfast was actually really good waffles cereal hard boiled eggs toast and more! Staff was fairly friendly and it did the job if you’re just looking to sleep and shower for the night

Picked this place from the prices on Orbitz. Booked the room.
When we arrived, everything was ready to go, the staff greeted us by name, This is the first place I’ve stayed that about ½ hour into the stay I got a call asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Well done!
The rooms are big and quiet (for the most part) and the bed very comfortable. Everything worked well (see below) and is well cared for
The hot tub is exactly that, HOT. Very good for eliminating the stresses of a days’ drive. the time needs some work, but I did inform the staff.
Parking is well lit and visible from your room. Large vehicle parking on one side of the place is available.
Downsides:
— The wireless internet was flakey for me. Would connect to the Access Point but could not get out onto the internet. Had to reboot the computer to get «out.» Seems I was alone in this problem, the staff could not duplicate it.
— It is a hotel, you hear the sounds outside and around you. Not bad but there. I had elephants above me last night. Second floor rooms may be quieter.
