Specialties
Taste On Chestnut specializes in new takes on familiar favorites that are beautifully plated in fresh ways, and presented with modern accompaniments. Beef Short ribs will be served with a marscapone polenta, fried chicken with a corn pudding. The menu includes something for all tastes.
The restaurant has three unique rooms including the intimate Fireplace Room, the Savory Room with a focus on the open kitchen, and the Chestnut Room which includes the bar area. This layout provides a unique opportunity for customers to host a small or medium sized event at the restaurant.
The open kitchen with bar seating creates a wonderful cooking class environment and Leviton looks forward to hosting private cooking parties. Taste on Chestnut is also available to cater private events in customers’ homes.
History
Established in 2015.
Taste on Chestnut is the North Shore’s newest ‘uptempo’ American restaurant with a downtown feel. Chef/Owner, Steve Leviton brings his 20+ years experience to the table, offering diners outstanding food, drinks and service. Sourcing ingredients from the area’s best food purveyors, Leviton wants his customers to ‘Taste’ with their eyes as well as their palate, as they enjoy the overall dining experience and presentations of familiar foods with an uptempo twist. This is not an establishment that wants to simply turn tables. Taste on Chestnut offers a true dining experience from enjoying a pre-meal cocktail or glass of wine, to timely, enjoyable well spaced out courses.
