We had an excellent experience with Get Dwell. We had some plaster walls repaired and repainted and a basement floor stripped off layers of old paint. Rocky did an excellent job of managing the project and the painting team that was brought in was professional, courteous and exceeded are high expectations. I was slightly concerned that they were going to bring in a general repair person to deal with the plaster walls but instead brought in a great team of experts. We would definitely use them for other projects around the house.

Called to get a quote for a kitchen Backsplash. We had our previous home’s Backsplash done in a day and a half for about $ 500 (labor only) and it was beautiful. We are new to Northbrook so we picked up a flyer for this company at a local hardware store. They came out and quoted 4 – 5 DAYS to install it and $ 2100-​$ 2800 LABOR. This was 40 square feet of Backsplash folks. I nearly laughed out loud. Needless to say called another Unilocal recommended person and had it installed for $ 550 in a day and a half. Shows you to definitely get more than one quote.

I called Get Dwell on Tuesday morning at the recommendation of our local ACE Hardware. Our stair banister disconnected from the wall and with two young kids in our house, we were concerned for everyone’s safety. Lynn let me know that she could schedule us for two days later, but she would also put out a call to the workers asking if anyone finished early that same day, would they be willing to squeeze our job in. Phil came to our rescue. He started the job around 5:30 — a time most workers call it a day. Including a trip to the hardware store, he was done an hour later. Phil did a great job. Excellent work. Very professional. Would definitely have him back again.

Great team. They have done painting and shower repairs for me. Jobs have come in on time and at or under the estimate. Jeff did a great job repairing a crack in our shower tile yesterday including repairing wet wood in the wall so we wouldn’t need to replace it. It looks great.

I own a house in Wilmette, however, I live in Los Angeles. Daryl and his team have been a wonderful asset to me and my tenants that live in the home. After the lovely spring storm in Wilmette, Darryl showed up the next day to take care of my basement. I was told every basement had flooded, yet Get Dwell was there for me the very next day. I have had Darryl and his team do several home improvement projects the past few years for me, and he has been extremely easy to work with, especially given the fact that I am in Los Angeles and have to work out the details remotely. Great quality work, superior service, and very easy to work with. I use Get Dwell every time for a project around the house. m These guys are the best!

We hired Get Dwell to fix a leaky roof at our house and an opening where animals were entering. A professional from Get Dwell came out that week and inspected our roof and gave us a a very fair quote. Soon there after the work was done on time and now the leak is gone and the hole the animals got through is closed off.

Like a lot of «handy» homeowners, I have a number of home improvement projects that I’d like to do… but simply don’t have the time.
Being handy also means that I’m more capable than most on how to identify quality workmanship, evaluate a proper bid, look for loopholes and for all intense and purposes, spot incompetence.
After hiring Get Dwell for my first project two years ago, I’m proud and relieved to say they’ve just completed their 7th project (Kitchen & Bath Renovation) and intend on hiring them for our next (Basement Expansion and Room Addition) project.

I had Get Dwell help restore my patio and I cannot find a single thing to complain about. They could not have done a better job. They did absolutely everything that I expected them to do and more. I have not seen my back yard looking this good in years. Will hire them in the future to do any maintenance work around the house. Would recommend them to anyone who needs outdoor work, and i’m sure all indoor work would be held to the same standard.
