Penny Halonen, owner of Bliss Salon of Winnetka, has been in the beauty industry and a salon owner for over 30 years. Early in her career she was involved in hair competitions and won First Place «Total Look» in both Chicago and New York. Penny is a certified Goldwell specialist and a master designer. Her salon is a designated première Goldwell salon with a fully certified and highly experienced staff.

They have everything here! Go in for highlights and get pampered with a manicure while your color sets or just come in for a quick blow dry during your lunch break. Accommodating and amazing talent!

I’ve been a client of Bliss for several years now, following them to their new location, which might I add is a wonderful and bright airy space and I love the new area it’s located in Winnetka. Bliss Salon has been my go to spot when I feel like treating myself to a great manicure and pedicure. The staff is professional and the environment is very welcoming and relaxing. I always leave with a smile on my face and gorgeous new nails that make me feel beautiful again, the massing pedicure chairs don’t hurt either :) Always a treat and something I definetly need to more often. I went to Bliss when they were on Lake St. and followed them to their new location. Katy most recently did my color… AMAZE! I get maincures there often too and always get compliments.
I am very sad to be moving out of State and will def make a special trip to Bliss when I am back in town!

I think Deneen is the best thing on two legs and this is the fourth salon I have followed her to. She is great. But I am not in love with the salon itself. It’s smallish, and the people are not terribly friendly. I love seeing all the sylists and assistants from the other salons — and they are terrific. But some of the people who have obviously been there for a while are less embracing. But Deneen — LOVE her.
