History

Established in 1997.

Best Event Mobile DJs founded by Radio Personality & Program Director Sherman Cohen. He programmed radio stations across the Western and Central United States for over 25 years. After he retired from the radio business in 1996, he still had a great passion for music and entertaining so he created Best Event Mobile DJs on January 1, 1997. He brought with him his oldest son David who was a young thriving DJ at the tender age of 21. After several years of Sherman and David entertaining, They both excelled greatly in the mobile DJ business. Years later, Sherman began to develop health problems and passed to torch to his son and colleague David Cohen as Owner & President. Sherman later passed away, with his son David continuing to keep his father’s legacy alive with his Best Event Mobile DJs. Which is a family ran business that is very dear to them.

David Cohen is Owner/​President of Best Event Mobile DJs. He was developed and trained by his father (Founder of Best Event Mobile DJs) Sherman Cohen who was a mobile DJ and Radio Personality for over 34 years. David has developed into a superb DJ/​Entertainer and has been for over 17 years. He has performed at over 2,000 events and has become a seasoned veteran in the industry. He has a great eye for reading a crowd and has great versatility. Only outstanding DJ’s can be upbeat & interactive at one event and have the versatility to change to a warm & elegant DJ (with very little or no interaction) the next event. In this business you can’t be a «one trick pony». He has mastered this art and is one of the best DJ’s in the industry.
