Brach’s Service Center

Didn’t actually get any service done here… but when I called about having a new catalytic converter installed on a Dodge van, the guy suggested I call Velasquez Mufflers in West Chicago, because it would be done a lot cheaper. I took the advice and got the converter installed for $ 180. I passed the Illinois emissions test and everything is good. Thanks for the tip Brach’s! I’d gladly buy you a beer at John’s someday.

I had the starter go out on my car and I had to be cheap and avoid the dealership so I came to Brach’s and had them do the replacement. Less then a year later the starter went out again. Clearly a poor replacement job if they even did one at all.

Great service. I’ve used them many times over the years. Always got my problems solved. One great example: I had an issue with some lights that were intermittent on my car. They couldn’t find the problem because it just wouldn’t fail when they had the car in. They removed part of my dashboard and did some other checking that required them to search wires and the like. They couldn’t find the issue. Since they couldn’t find the issue, they didn’t charge me! See if that happens at another service provider.
Later when I finally had the problem stop being intermittent and just broken, they fixed it for less than $ 100. More than fair and typical of the great service they provide.
I no longer own an old car having bought a new one but when my new one gets out of warranty, I’ll be back to Brach’s.

Ripoff! Brought car in for humming in steering– $ 650 later, same noise!
Repairs were unrelated (and probably unnecessary). Not the first time I got shady service from them but definitely will be last!
