Windsor Bowl

Nice little place. Seems like a great place for kids.
I don’t know for sure, but the lanes appear shorter than at Double Decker. And the lanes seem tighter than regular. Seems like the the pins are rubbery, too.

If I could give zero stars I would. I had brought a group of 7 friends who were visiting Windsor and wanted to experience Sonoma County for the first time. So, I thought bowling would be a good relaxing evening, however, I received attitude from the start from the staff at Windsor bowl. We showed up later in the night at an hour where it was only us.
I did not feel comfortable with the environment from the start. Our entire group had spent around $ 200 in total. By our second game at around 11pm one in or party had accidentally hit the rail which picks up the pins. Without a warning he had told us our games are canceled and we must leave. I was mind blown and could not help but to ask for a refund. He denied us our refund and told us we had to leave.
I have never in my life received such mediocre service from a business in my life. Absolutely terrible, spend your money at Rohnert Park bowl, much better experience.

We accidentally hit the guard and they kicked us out after we did absolutely nothing wrong. We had ten people there and we all bought two games. We spent atleast 110 dollars and we were kicked out for a ridiculous reason. The employees that work there do not care about their jobs or the people that bowl there. The employees are only there to make themselves money and have no
Desire to make the customers feel comfortable at all. Bowling is supposed to be a fun time and sometimes people bowling aren’t professional and make mistakes and if you can’t accept that and accommodate people that aren’t the best bowlers then your business is not running properly. I had a horrible experience and the only reason I would go back is to critic the two people that work at the front desk and make sure everyone knows how horrible they are.

I’ve been going to Windsor bowl for years. I have been turned away from one of the «manager s» for no reason. My husband and I bring friends, family, and many others into the alley on a regular basis. the staff is rude and inconsistent. They decide if they want you to bowl or hang whenever it’s convenient for them at the time. I have been over charged on my bar tap several times. Management is terrible. It’s a shame. It’s so disappointing because this is the place I bring my family and friends. No longer… So much for supporting LOCAL. I guess I have to go to Rohnert Park. Too bad ;(
The owner or some manager commented on my review stating that we were rude to their staff… The staff at Windsor bowl are terribly rude. They are inconsistent, unfriendly, change their rules everyday, they act like they’re high and mighty and are all horrible people. The only one person that I’ve met there that is even nice at all is Greg. Everyone else is so mean. They’re even rude to my 12 year old son.
The manager/​owner (James P.) also said in his comment on my review that I was destructive to their property. That’s not true. Businesses like this should not have the opportunities to lie about patrons on Unilocal.I emailed him asking what he meant by «destructive» and of course he ignored me email.
I don’t know how they stay in business. The bathrooms are always awful and gross, half of the sinks and toilets don’t work, they’re always going through some construction. It’s far from what the business was like over 5 years ago. I am not sure if this guy James P. purchased the businesses in the last several years, but it used to be a great spot and used to be clean, and the staff used to be nice.
This business is about customer service and these people have no clue…
It’s disappointing to have such a business in a small town.

This place is FUN. I’m no pro bowler, but I can walk up to the line and roll that ball with a force strong enough to *sometimes* make a spare, and even the ever occasional strike!
There is a food counter that puts out decent enough fries, corndogs, hot dogs, pizza, salad, etc.
There is a full bar with 2 pool tables, and drink prices are very reasonable. Good beers on tap, decent dirty gin martini, and friendly service.
The little ones can opt to have the bumpers up when it’s their turn to bowl, and they have these cute little dinosaur ‘slides’ to push the ball down, so the ball actually gets momentum and makes it to the pins.
I had my daughter’s bday party here last year and the kitchen staff were extremely helpful, friendly and generous with their supplies (napkins, plasticware, etc).
This is going to be a fun date night place to go, because darn it, sometimes we just want to have a couple drinks and play a few games of pool, and not have to go to the Wagon Wheel to do it. No offense to the Wagon Wheel. They have 5 great pool tables, very friendly bartenders, pinball and a shuffleboard table! It’s just nice to have a place in WINDSOR we can go, if we could only remember we want to go there when date night rolls around!
Cheers to Windsor Bowl. Hope it stays around for a long time!

This place was an absolute nightmare.
The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional.

This is a great place to hang out. They’ve totally remodeled, so it looks fantastic! They have an awesome café menu and fully stocked bar, pool tables, and of course bowling. It’s a lot of fun when they have rock and glow, and the employees they have now are very helpful.

Windsor bowl is a fun family friendly place! They recently remodeled & updated some stuff as well. Every time I have gone all the staff has been super nice & helpful with my kids & I. I also appreciate that they are part of the kidsbowlfree. At night they turn lights on, which my kids love & always have fun music playing. They also have alcohol for the adults. Definitely my favorite place to bowl.

I have been here a total of 4 times now.
The first time I went there I thought it was nice enough for a bowling alley but a little dated.
The second time I went I found out they were going to be remodeling so that took care of my last impression.
The last 2 times I have been I can see the results of the remodel which looks nice and They have also started doing the Rock & Bowl on Monday nights which I think is great cause there’s never much to do on a Monday night

If you don’t go with expectations of a 5 star resort, Windsor Bowl is a fun place to go for a Friday night. Yes, it’s divey, but isn’t that part of the bowling experience? The bar is a must see — it’s extremely divey and makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of a time machine. The snack bar makes good fries, and it’s overall a fun environment.
Also, the teeny boppers who go on their first dates are pretty precious to watch.

I think it’s a great deal and a fun place to bowl if you can. I called ahead to reserve two lanes for my wife’s birthday. They said that they don’t make reservations on Mondays, that it was first-​come-​first-​served. When we arrived they told us there were two parties reserving all the lanes.
That definitely made mama bear mad!

Friday afternoon teen bowling bday party yesterday. Kids had fun, folks had fun. There is a real watering hole for those interested. Pizza was hot and tasty. It seemed safe and there was plenty of parking. The lanes were clean and serviced. So yeah, four stars, bowling alley scale. I just can’t get persnickety about reviewing a bowling alley. They are inherently casual, goes with the territory. What I love about bowling is that anyone can have fun socializing and it is more active than the kids hanging out on their video games. We would definitely go back.

I really like bowling here! The staff is very friendly and the lanes are very nice! They just remodeled and added new lanes, carpets, and paint! The place looks brand new! The new lanes seem to be higher scoring too! They have lots of leagues for every kind of bowler! The snack bar is nice too! Quick service and the food was good! I really enjoy Mondays deal. 2 hours and shoes for only $ 9. That starts at 5pm and then around 6 or 7 they turn the black lights on and it’s rock in glow time! I really enjoy bowling during rock in glow hours! It’s a lot of fun! The balls glow in the dark too! And the kids love it! Good job windsor bowl on the remodel and I will be back!

Aren’t most bowling places a little funky? The people were kind and very helpful for my son’s birthday party. The pizza was ok, and the lanes were just refurbished. There is some construction going on that will upgrade the facility a bit. In a time when everyone is occupied by electronics, we are lucky to have an option.

Completely RUDE staff. I could not believe how rude and not helpful. Heck, you’d think if someone is inquiring about a league, they would offer all the info to «sell» it to them let alone answer questions. NOPE! They said one thing, «the sign up is over there» and that was like pulling teeth! While bowling for a small fortune, the lane functioned ok. It took awhile for them to get the «dead wood» removed then later a rack that wouldn’t set. When they did, they messed up the oil. They are re-​doing the lanes (only because they wouldn’t be sanctioned if they didn’t.) but these problems I mentioned are not indicative of the construction. I am not a pro bowler but do love to bowl and hoped to get into a league. They are also very pricey per game. This place seems to think they should just open their doors and all will come play because it is the ONLY bowling around for miles. Well, I will drive those 22 miles or so and bowl Double Decker. SUPER friendly, GREAT deals and EXCELLENT pro shop. Bye bye Windsor Bowl.

Not a great experience. The woman running the desk was totally rude. Brunette w/​a pony tail and wearing some Ed Hardy looking shirt. She was rude from the moment we started.
My friend called to schedule a kids birthday part 2 months out and they were booked for the party rooms. She had the party at Round Table and the woman previously told her to call before they came and she’d hold a lane for them. She called before we left and the woman was rude on the phone and said we had better get there or we wouldn’t get any lanes. We went over and there were lots of lanes left. The woman was short and snippy in person as well. Multiple adults in our party had bad experiences with her when paying for things, getting change, etc.
Place is kind of a dump. The ceiling tiles are stained. The bowling alley floors are so worn that they are peeled and on bare wood. Our lane kept failing to properly keep score and the keyboard at our station didn’t work so we had trouble adjusting it. Again we get to go and ask the lady at the counter with the attitude to help us. Same lady as the one on the phone, she is likely an owner or manager. She came over and was again rude, snapping at us when trying to explain what happened. She was snitty and rude and fixed it and left. The crappy equipment kept malfunctioning and not recognizing our balls and turns. We finally asked a guy there that was much nicer and he moved us to another lane that actually worked (no thanks to snitty).
The place could be worth going if all the staff were nice. When you go bowling or any recreational thing you go for fun, not to have someone be rude. I’ve not had someone in a customer service situation be so rude in quite a while. Between the run down, non-​working equipment and this woman’s attitude, I would avoid it for now.

Its a bowling place. Not high tech or fancy. Bar staff is friendly and make some good drinks.

I live in Windsor and love this town. Its very small, friendly and family oriented, so I figured our local bowling center would be the same. I called for information about booking an upcoming birthday party and ended up dealing with one rude person after another before getting hung up on. They lost my business before they even had it.

It’s a small town bowling alley. It serves it’s purpose and it certainly isn’t pretty but they play Boston’s ‘more than a feeling’…

Pretty much the only bowling place around, the Windsor Bowl wasn’t too bad. The lanes weren’t jacked up, and the bumpers saved my life. I like the names of the local league leaders on the walls. The staff are locals who are pretty chill. They didn’t really care if you were a hooligan, which a lot of the kids are around here these days. The food was fine, there were arcades, and the bathrooms were clean enough.
