My wife and i eat here at least 2 times a month ! Great food, fair prices, friendly staff! 5 minutes from home ! Who could want more!! the best catfish with in 30 miles, its the friday nite special !

A true local spot that I came across while on the quest to learn more about my family on my mothers side of that family. Thus I needed to eat local and came across this train depot now a restaurant. Took them up on the special half roast beef sandwich. Yes the picture is only a half portion. Roast beef succulent and tender and bursting full of flavor. Lathered in a rich beef gravy which is layered over the sandwhich and the mashed potatoes giving the plate a full brown finish.
With a few drops of Tabasco. Oh alright with a lot of Tabasco to enhance the flavors of and bring out all the textures and tastes of this delicious meal. If you ever get to New Windsor, Illinois in mercer county. You’ve got to stop here and try anything they have on the menu. epic yummy.

The Depot hand-​breads their fried foods, so though I usually avoid this kind of cooking – here I enjoy the chicken strips, green beans, and fresh tenderloins. Yummy!
