New England Veterinary Cancer Care

We took our dog there to be neutered. He was there Monday to Wednesday. Picked him up and the odor of urine on his entire body was overwhelming. He is a big dog so LOTS of bad smell. We had to bathe him twice — he couldn’t even be in the house. Apparently they don’t change bedding or clean kennels. I have had some stinky dogs in my life and this tops the cake. We will NEVER go back. The vet did;t even come out when we picked him up for take home instructions. No personal service. They SUCK — go to Suffield Vet or Connecticut Veterinary Specialists in West Hartford. Premium care and excellent staff and doctors. STAY AWAY from NEVCC.
One more thing — I called them to complain and the manager got on the phone and (he) said my dog did not smell when he brought him out to the lobby and went on and on about how much they loved our dog. He didn’t even bring him out to the lobby — it was a young woman! He out and out lied! I didn’t know this until after my husband told me.

We used to love it here, but over time it seems to have changed. It is overpriced and the vets generally seem rude and in a rush. They are unfortunately highly skilled at using your grief and sadness to guilt you into paying for thousands of dollars worth of procedures that won’t necessarily save your cat’s life. Then when they send a condolence card they talk about how sorry they are about «Buddy’s passing.» But, your cat’s name was Bobby.
The vet techs have remained consistently good here. They are all sweet and helpful and you can tell they really love animals and people. Sadly, the actual vets see to really love money more than anything else. Just our experience. Take it or leave it.

Receptionist were polite, wait time was pretty fast. My pet was not mis handled or treated, caring and fast service, Dr. Jacqueline and her assistant were professional. Prices were a little more then expected by not bad still, highly recommend.

I have been a customer of NEVCC for a couple of years now, and I am very pleased with the service and care my pets have received. Both of my cats have Dr. deSagun as their primary veterinarian, and Dr. deSagun has always been awesome to work with — friendly, upbeat, and most importantly compassionate and caring.
The overall staff at NEVCC has always been great — they are a busy place, so it might take a few minutes to speak to someone at the front desk. I’ve found the pricing to be typical for a vet visit — remember this is a 24 hour facility, so it isn’t inexpensive to staff a facility 24 hours a day. The facility itself is beautiful and very well organized.
The facility itself is easy to get to – right off I-​91 in Windsor.

Dr. Shaw is fantastic and the facility is large, clean, and new. Staff friendly and we’re very happy with the care our dog got.
